Ratings will decrease??

The reputation is based on what other uses rate you. There is a plus/minus next to every post you make. If other users feel like you havent responded with relavent information, they may give you a minus rating. If you post short questions or things against the guidelines, you may get a negative rating. Thoughtful answers and answers for questions presented will generally get positive ratings. Make sure you read the entire post before responding. Sometimes the title may make you think one thing, but the post is really asking something else. Make sure you only give answers that you know of or your opinions when asked for. Things like 'I dont know' will generally get negative ratings. Dont be too discouraged, you can easily get a higher rating again. Some days will be better than others. Just keep posting good repsonses and topics and having fun and you will get your higher rating again.

It could be for the same reason why my rating has dropped from ten to nine and stays there for as long as an year without budging to the efforts and active participation of mine.May be some good soul who has nothing better to do is keep giving negative ratings to you.Mylot is full of wackos too you know.

hi! nothing to worry about, ratings can go up and down so much that you shouldn't be bothered about it much. our mylot reputation is in the hands of other mylot users. they decide how they should rate us (+-!). i suggest that you should just continue to do quality posts, rate discussions you participate in and the responses you received in your discussions, do the tags always... and just enjoy participating in mylot. more likely, the discussion starters where you posted your responses are not very aware about giving ratings. so you should also select quality discussions to respond to. see you around in mylot. ;) again, don't be bothered about it. it will pick up soon as you participate more in quality discussions. :)

Actually I came to know about this rating now only after seeing your post. Thank you for starting the new discussion on this topic. Pne thing I an suggest for my lot is that you may be as decriptive as possible whenever responds. Don't be discouraged. Ups and downs are always there :) Happy My lotting

I never really worry about ratings. It isn't the most important thing either. Mine goes up and down like a yoyo, and it makes me laugh. I am here to have fun, make friends and get paid. Getting paid is a bonus, I like the idea, we can share our opinions with others and they share their opinions with us. There aren't many places where we can do that and get paid for it, that is for sure. I would probably be here even if I didn't get paid, as it is just a great place to be and I am just loving it.
