Hi Sanyorita... You didn't include "SandyMay48" in that list. I can live without every thing you have in the list but "Sandymay48" would be essential for me. LOL! For the discussion sake, I would like to have PC, Car, Fridge and Indoor plumbing for living. I can live without TV.

Would have to be the television, hands down. I could do without being a zombie looking at the box all night The rest of the other things are pretty much essentials, although I might be able to get by without the car for awhile and just use my bike.

That is very true sometimes the television can just be an expensive radio. I would agree there are so many other ways to cook without a stove, once we can make fire we can do almost anything. I could not live without the microwave or electric grill

I thought the TV at first too as I hardly watch it. But then I realized that I do turn it on for background noise, like an expensive radio with a picture.. I could do without the stove. There are many other appliances, microwaves, electric frying pans, toaster ovens...sooooooo..out goes the stove..Oh wait! I dont have one! I have been living for 3 weeks now with no stove and doing just fine!

I could easily give up the Television. I honestly don't pay much attention to it at all. Really my fiancee watches it and I kinda listen in the background. Plus, now a days you can watch so many TV shows and movies online. You can also play dvds on your computer these days. I don't typically use my computer for those things, but if I didn't have a TV I would definitely use my computer as back up if I started to miss the TV too much! haha

I could easily give up the watching television. I rarely do! In fact, I dont know the last time I actually watched a television program. If we had to give up the television set, I dont think my husband would be very happy. One of the ways he relaxes is by playing video games. The Xbox would be far more difficult to play without the television! That would also affect my ability to relax. We would be sharing the computer far more often. If I had to give up the television set, I might pick the stove instead. I can easily cook on the grill with the burner. So it would be easy to give up. Although I do like to be able to be in the warm house in the winter when cooking.. So I wouldnt really want to - I could just make do!

Hi there..I said the TV at first too but I think I would have a very cranky hubby...lol especially if he couldnt watch his sports. I could however do without the stove as there are so many other options these days. There is a grill, microwave, electric frying pan, toaster oven,,,oh heck, I give up the stove!

Well, I think I'd get rid of the television. Some people just veg out in front of it, when they could be doing something more productive. Personally, the only thing I use a T.V. for is video games, but it's just digital entertainment. There's more important things than that.

Hi ya sandymay48 Hmmm I think I would have to say the car! In fact I would save some money if I didn't have the car but it is awful taking the kids to school in the rain and it rains a lot in the UK believe me! I think I would go crazy without the other things you listed!!

Hi Ya humbug25...You are the first to say the car!..I agree, it would save money, and a lot of it. But I live in the country so I need to have one to get anywhere..No bus service here...Maybe I could ride a horse Now that would save some money and be a great show for the rest of the town! Perhaps I could even make some money as the village idiot! Better make it a pony, because I am short!

Out of those seven items, it will be the television. I hardly watch it and sometimes I just watch the show online. There's no problem to get rid of it. Besides, I can only choose television. I can get make a choice of the left six, I think I'm going to need all of it, especially my computer. My car come in second.

I could live without any of them. You all could too. None of them existed until this modern era. Mankind gets weaker as life gets easier and one becomes more dependent on modern technology to 'live'. I am most fond of my computer, but I could let it go easily if I had to, and in fact INTEND to do so.

I have to totally agree with you, Man does get weaker with the advent of more technology and although some is useful, I sometimes think it causes more trouble then its worth
