With all the salt, fat, preservatives, etc that are in our so called convienince foods, and at fast food retailers. We as a nation/world are constantly developing health problems related to our "unwholesome" diets including diabieties, cancers, obesity, heart problems, reduced testosterone levels and so forth. I was wondering what do you do to help your body, do you take medications? Drink 2 Litres, or 2 quarts of water a day to help flush out the nasties? Vitamin supplements? Proper exercise? Anything else you do? Reduce your bad food, eat raw fruits and veggies, and whole grains, complimented with limited amounts of meat.

I gave up on human food a long time ago. I eat dry dog food along with my dog. We feed each other. And we're both healthy and have very shiny coats!

As a matter of fact yes, yes I do. Rub your tummy to. Lol, I need to change my mail preferences in the MyLot, I could have read this 4 weeks ago instead of today. When I decided that I should go and respond to every conversation I hadn't. It made me laugh so hard. Thanks Sparks.

What I usually do to stay healthy is to eat veggies everyday as much as possible. I dont eat much of instant foods, because its preservative content. Also, last weekend, I've started my jogging session. Drinking 8 glasses or more of water a day will definitely provide us good health. For me, it helps flush out all the unnecessary things in my body. Lastly, I have my vitamin C everyday for added protection from harmful bacteria.

You should be using more the just vitamin C, but then eating all the veggies does that as well. Water is still the very most important. And exercise. Those are the biggest ones, yet, the least used. All the people that tell me they get sick a lot, I say to them, if you drink more water, you won't get sick so much. They tell me water tastes gross... I say, well, if that is the way you feel, have fun being sick.

I try to look after myself as best I can but this isn't always that easy. I don't have the best of diets and I don't eat much in the way of fruit. I sure would like to change this but finance always comes into the equation. There is one area that I do have a particular strength in and that is fitness! I cycle on a regular basis and this gives me so much freedom as well as keeping me fit. I'm not that keen on drinking water, I know I should but it's just so plain! Well, as long as you have breath in your body you are always able to make the change whenever you desire. Andrew

To Andrew.
An apple a day costs about 35 cents. Fruit is way cheaper then meats. About the same price as chips, at least where I live. Cycling used to be my favorite form of transportation. Started Having to buy a new bike every few months, due to thefts though.
To Ccarabuena.
You are never too old to learn something new. Like Andrew said, As long as you have breath in your body, you are always able to make the change whenever you desire. You just have to try. Cheers.

I live on 99.9% fresh fruits and vegetables. It's doing wonders for me. Also 6 glasses of water per day and exercise and try to get 7-8 hours of sleep and feed on positive friends and activities.

I like your sense of humour. Good one! I wonder if that's why I have fewer and fewer friends? LOL

Very few comments about feeding on positive friends, I wonder how do they taste? Kidding, of course. Keeping a positive atmosphere around us is a great way to keep the body in shape. Keeping the mood high, increases energy, reduces stress and fatigue. Great Idea. I will have to employ it more often. Also way to go on the fruits and veggies thing. Cheers.

Health problem has caused much more attention than ever bofore.I think health is more important than any thing else in the world. We can achieve nothing without health. As for me,I eat more fruits and vegetables instead of meat and sugar which might be harmful to our physical fitness if too much taken.I always drink two litres of water everyday.I also take two pills of vitamin C as an supplement. Regular exercise is as important as diet.I keep on walking for at least half an hour everyday.Only in good health can we lead a happy life, right? Have a nice day and happy mylotting!

Good Good Good. But you know, Vitamin C, I like that my Skittles which I love so much, are very high in that Vitamin. It is everywhere, the most over used one. I think with all of everything else I eat, I would never need a Vitamin C Supplement. I take a few supplements though, Calcium, and A major one Called VitaOne, it has so much stuff in it. I drink loads of water, just gotta exercise more, with summer here, that shouldn't be a problem though. Cheers.

That is good indeed. Soft drinks do bad things to your body, and especially your teeth. The sugar rush isn't a very good thing either. Natural foods are usually tastier to me then unnatural foods. But Ccarabuena is right, the junk foods are okay in moderation.

The entire world as such has become health conscious as such .The parents try to give their children nutritious food while they are young .Ofcourse children do make a fuss but they manage to feed them but once they become a little big they make their own choice -going for all kinds of junk food -what with the innumerable chain of fast food stores .Parents become helpless. But once we become responsible we become aware of the drastic effects of the food we in take .Then we becomr very particular about food .The news all around create this awareness. We also foll ow the various good food habits.Yes proper exercise ,fast walks daily, drinking a lot of water, eating fibbre contents, vegetable fruits ,salads and pulses ,I am sure will atleast to some extent keeps us away from diabetics and certain ailments.Yoga and meditation is the best remedy to keep us away from stress and tenion and therby heart problems .So food goes a long way to keep us healthy and hearty.

I do nothing out of the blue or order. I just eat healthy, although at wrong times, but I 'try' to avoid junk food all the time. But I still end up hogging a lot of cakes and chocolates. And no, I'm not overweight. The best part is that, even after eating so much each day, I'm as lean I can get. I think I can attribute that to my habit of playing sports. Yes, I think that's the only thing that I do to keep my health. Very few medications and such as I rarely get sick or ill. Lost of water yes. Lots to say the truth. I drink about 8 to 10 in the whole day. It's too hot, maybe that why I drink so much, but usually I drink more than 3 or 4.

Water again. It has got to be the most power substance on the face of this planet. I recently added an additive to all my water, called VitaWater. It is a "wetting agent" It is said to make the absorption of vitamins and minerals more thorough, giving it a try. Someone I know that uses says, it works great for sunburns too. If you add more then you would for drinking. And Exercise, this is key, I think you could eat just about anything you wanted if you were super active. Doing lots of cardiovascular exercises each day to burn off the calories before they get stored.

I eat less salt, less sugar and no fats food. I am a hypertensive so had to observe a little diet as well. No pork, a little chicken and more fishes. I am fond of eating sweets when I was younger but now just a lttle. Still I prefer on hot drinks in the morning and in the afternoon, juices come at noon or lunchtime. Walking is just my exercise and doing household chores. I take herbal medicines aside from the hypertension dose. I have fruits once in a while. I seldom go for junkfoods. I love cooking and eating veggies whenever possible. I feel am having a good health with this set up.

I am not too sure exactly what Hypertensive is. But, if it requires you to mind your diet, I am sure it is not good. It sounds like, you used to not care so much, but now you are paying for that, and working extra hard to be nice to your body. Just like me. Cheers.

Everything is not bad for you! Fresh mountain air is not bad for you at all. Worrying is bad, and so is negativity. Eating what you want is good, lots of people would be deader that way as well though. I like good food as much as everyone else I was just being curious about the habits of others, do not be so negative please.

I'm a pretty firm beliver that you can watch what you put into your body, but we don't always know what we're breathing. So for my own health it's more of focusing on unprocessed things. Unbleached flour, unprocessed sugar and staying away from ready made foods. But I still think that the chemicals that have been around us for years is a key too. So i build up my antioxidents found in peppers and potatoes for example.
You can cut out things in diet, but we still have to be conscience of the things that are around us when it comes to popultion, chemicals in our yards and even cleaning products.

You are right, we absorb just as much of what we breath as what we eat. I use natural cleaners for the most part. My girl buys them off the internet from a place called melaluca or something like that. They smell funny. But they are 100% biodegradable and made from natural ingredients, So i don't mind the smell so much.

Well i generally try to eat what i have made because then i know what is in it. I drink mostly water and squash. I eat fruit every now and then have some salads for some lunchs with some pasta. Or tuna and pasta. It depends really on how busy your day is because people who have a busy day generally rush lunch and dont have time to prepare anythin healthy and jsut eat what is fast and conveniant.

A nut and berry mix is fast and convenient but I hardly ever hear of someone having that for lunch. Premix it, but it in baggies, or containers, you are good to go, loads of vitamins, minerals, and protein. But I digress, what you do is great. Eat what you make so you know what is in it. Cheers.

Wow, hard core healthy. It is good to cut out processed and high sugar. A very hard adjustment though. Going back to what we had before the processing and hormones is maybe not such a bad idea in my mind.

Wow, do dedicated. A little red meat is okay 2 - 3oz portions per week, according to one book, written by A Doctor I read. The Testosterone Factor, I forget the last name but I am fairly sure the given name was Shariq or something like that. 2 liters a day, don't forget to drink more in the winter. Cheers.

Well caring for my health is easy. I watch my fat intake, and my salt intake, although my salt intake is very low because I salt NOTHING! I think this is one reason for my good health. I walk daily for exercise. I eat nutritious. I do eat raw fruits and veggies as they are my favorite. I limit my meat intake to 2 times a week.

The salt you add while cooking or at the table makes up about only an eighth of the extra salt you put into your body each day, when eating pre packaged foods. It sounds like you don't do this. It has its pros and its cons that is for sure. Myself I practice exercising, yoga, and supplements. But I really like that easy to prepare food.
