How was your Mother´s Day?

hi marguicha, I have not yet celebrated mothers day. In Sweden we do not celebrate mothers day untill the last weekend this month. Do I have any expectations? No I have not, really. I just hope it will be a wonderful sunny day.

Mother's day was not what I had expected. It was just like any ordinary sunday for me. I had lunch with my mother on friday because I wouldn't see her. I got her something small for her. Saturday, my family and I went out for lunch to meet one of my husband's work mates. My husband drank and got me to drive home after lunch. Just before he went to bed, he told me that the lunch was for me for mothers day. I thought great, if it was for me, shouldn't I be the one drinking and get driven home? I have told my friends that I see and they said the same thing as me. On sunday, fair enough, my husband and my kids did say happy mothers day, but I never got spoilt. Only my youngest gave me something. 2 cards she made for me and a little gift. The older one and my husband didn't give me anything to remind me of this year's mothers day. Not even a simple card which would not cost much at all.

Hi marguicha...Thank you I had a very nice day. My lunch got cooked for me and I had enough leftovers for supper. So it was nice not having to cook and do dishes. that was a present in itself. My grandaughter brought me a nice bouquet of pink carnations and I also got some outdoor flowers to plant if it ever decides to warm up around here. After all my company left I spent the evening on my computer playing catch up and talking with some old friends. All in all I have a very nice and comforting day. Flutterby
