Does internet help in broadening ones knowledge or does it spoil a person ?

With the vast availablity ot websites both constructive and destructive does internet help in broadening ones mind or does it lead to destruction ????

It will be beneficial to learning if the person visits sites that are of substance, but if they do otherwise, the effect is the opposite.
