Do you like planning for vacations? or are you the type who could just pack their bags and let your feet decide where to go?
Have you planned your next vacation?
I actually have, but it's not somewhere far, but instead I'll be spending a few days with someone on a very nice resort here in my place. I'm quite excited for it.
How about you?

planning for vacations is actually a process that is quite fun. i imagine where i will be and what are the things i do. i usually start planning as early as three months before the vacation itself.
there was only once that i went on a vacation spontaneously. it was a short trip to a neighbouring country. we just packed our bags, picked up our passports and headed to the agency to get the earliest air tickets. it was quite fun too but i guess i won't be doing it again.

firstly, sorry about the picture. it was for another discussion that i was replying to at the same time. sadly the picture didn't manage to turn up there but up here instead.
guess it's age and the lifestyle i'm used to. i did the unplanned vacation when i still didn't mind spending the night on a bench. we got ourselves a hotel room only when we arrived there. if there were no room available, we'd most probably be sleeping on a chair in the airport. however, i need at least something soft to spend the night on now. so that's why i won't be doing it again.

I really like planning my vacations. I like to look at maps and to think about the places that I would like to visit. My fiance and I started planning our next vacation a while ago. We are going to visit Lithuania and Latvia in July this year. We have bought our train and bustickets and we also made hostel reservations. There are still some things that we need to do before we go, but it is nice that we don't have to worry about tickets and hostels, now we can concentrate on the interesting preparations like reading about the history and the sights and learning a bit of the language.

Hi Laydee, I hope you have a wonderful time.
When I am planning a holiday it takes a lot of time. Last year my Asian trip involved 14 different flights and 8 different hotels. This year I am still not
sure what I will do but I have to decide soon and start again with the detailed planning work. The only thing for sure is that it will again be in Asia..

Hi Laydee, I love Asia with it's many different cultures and beautiful landscapes. Such a variety of everything. The people are friendly and kind although in many cases they are very poor. The food is fantastic! The one exception is Bali. It was a wonderful place several years ago but a limited number of greedy dishonest people and an inefficient, uninterested civic administration have totally spoiled it.
Fortunately there are many other super places and I have still never been in the Philippines.

I have my plans already for my next vacation, and that will be on September 20 2009 in Puerto Galera here in the Philippines. That will be our 1st Year Anniversary with my wife and my 2 month old son. Hopefully by that time he is already 7 month old. Can't wait for that day as this will be the first time that me and my wife together with my son will be out of town for a vacation. The vacation will last for only 4 days but hopefully I can request for another day off from work so that I can extend my vacation to a full 5 days.

You could just try to get out of where you are at right now, perhaps a breathe of fresh air would do you good in order for you to overcome the depression you are in right now. Vacations need not be expensive, going to the province or visiting a prospective place for employment or just to visit a friend would do you good. Who know, opportunity might come.

I am sneaking in a vacation when I take my state exam for teaching. Instead of taking it at the local test site I choose to take it at a test site that is near my sister on the other side of the state and stay for a week to visit and relax.

I hate vacations. To me a vacation would be being alone or mostly alone and staying on the internet for long hours and maybe doing something fun, yet productive. I do not like going away. I don’t see the point plus there’s hassles and money to be spent I think it’s all dumb. I am going to Orlando and doing the whole Disney thing with my family though in June. I can’t believe I have to do this either. I don’t even like my extended family we are going with. It’s gonna suck soo bad. I will be very happy when it’s over. The one thing I do like about vacations is the traveling. I like to fly and even drive if I’m driving. I also enjoy hotels a lot.

nope because i prioritize the money for paying bills, study loans and saving for the future!but if i had kept enough money,i really wish to have tour around the world by cruise ship after I'm 100% sure that the cruise can safe from being attack by pirate! huhu!because i', not really fond by riding a plane, really had big headache especially on long hour flight!
maybe i will try to have tour by train! huhu! who's know maybe i can become great writer like j.k Rowling! huhu! creating super famous character while have great blast watching great scenery from train! huhu

Going for trips or vacations needs planning, in my opinion. We have to plan ahead roughly the places we're going to visit, what's the nice food we've to try, or what's the specialties of it which can't be missed. Besides, the place to stay, how long i want to stay and the budget for the trip is another important things to take care and planned before going for a vacation. So, usually it takes me a few weeks of planning before going for vacations and actually i'm going with my group of friends more often and they're the one who make the decision, so i'll leave the planning work for them, haaha.

hey laydee!
me and my officemates are planning to go on a vacation again, i think in October. the last vacation we had was last month. we do not always plan this early. sometimes, we would just feel like going on a trip on the coming weekend and its already Tuesday or Wednesday. sometimes, we like it better if we do it in a hurry because everything goes according to plan. we seldom plan very early because sometimes, it doesn't push through or it doesn't go well.
for our October trip, we planned this very early because there was a promo on the airline ticket and we just had to grab it. ^^ we have to take care first of the transportation since its the most important thing in traveling. for the accommodation, food and all that, we would plan it maybe early October or late September. ^^

vacation?? in this economy? we can barely make ends meet and are hanging on by a thread. paying our monthly bills is a struggle so no, there will be no vacations any time for the unforeseen future. anyone who can afford a vacation has nothing to worry about in my book.

Good for you!
My daughter and I have the trip of our lifetime planned for next month. It's part fun and part work related. Otherwise, we'd never be able to afford it. I think getting away on vacation is important. You don't have to do anything fancy but everyone needs a break from stress and routine.
May you enjoy every minute of your getaway!:0)

I have a general ideal where I am going but I have not made the reservations yet. We are not taking out next vacation until November 2010. My husband wants me to look and see if any other time will be cheaper and we will just take my granddaughter out of school. She will be in 3rd grade but my kids have told me when they were in school parents were always taking their kids out of school to go on vacation. They were even in high school when they were doing that.

I am allways exciting about vactions. Because it means I can have a lot of time to do whatever I want to do and don't need to much of homework as in the school. As to this vacation, I plan to go travel in some places that I am longing to go for a long time and go to visit some famous universties to realise my dreams of enjoying the different culture and great sceneries in different places. In additon, I am going to find a firm that can offer me a job and work there as an intent. However, I think it is very difficult for me to get a job as an intent in a firm, because I am too shy and don't have enough confidence to do whatever I want to do.It seems that is impossible for me to fullfil the two vovational plans. I feel that I don't have enough courage to do whatever I wish to do in my life and I am extremely sad about ii and quite worry about my future.
