The price of a first class stamp is now 44 cents. Does that increase in postage mean anything to you? Will you send less mail? Do you care one way or another? Did you buy forever stamps? If so, then you don't need to worry - you won't pay more until the next time you buy stamps. What are our thoughts?

I think the price of postage is going up, because most people don't send letters to lots of people anymore, and most people are on the computer maybe sending emails, so that is the reason of the rising price of postage stamps, I don't really blame the postage companies, because they are losing buisness, because of the internet and the computers, I would feel the same way, if I owned the postage company...

I had to laugh that you called it a postage company, and if you owned the postage company. The "postage company" is the United States Post Office, we all own it already, our taxes pay, plus we pay buying stamps.

Of all the people I know...most of them are paying their bills online. I bet that has had a major impact on the postal service! And with their rates increasing at a steady pace due to the gas prices etc they really needed it. I send alot of cards...and the two cents won't make any difference to me...I'll just pay what I have to pay. Beside the internet it's the cheapest way to tell someone that your are thinking of them.

I pay some bills through bank draft and some of the local utilities I just drop it off when I go by. I dont' send as much mail as I used to. I think I'll cut back on a lot of Christmas cards this year too. Every little bit helps.
