How many of you think that they could live with free online tv? I have for almost 2 months now. I actually love it better than staring at the tube. I can go to different sites and see my shows. If I can't find them I will go to a friends house and watch. Heck if they don't care and they are paying the bill thats great right? So tell me how many of you watch tv and use the computer only for internet or do both of them simulataneously?

We have basic cable. Like the local channels that you can get over free air. The only reason we pay for them is because it is the same price to get internet and basic cable as it is just to get the internet!
I dont watch tv. So if we ever had a different option that was just as fast for the internet, I would give up the tv in a heart beat! So many people get sucked into shows that they feel they have to watch. I have done that in the past. I have just stopped caring. I feel like there is hardly anything worth watching on tv anyway!
I have gotten sucked into some things on the computer, so I try to limit that some as well. But I could easily give up the tv any day of the week!

Im not sure where you live. In the US, all of the local stations broadcast a signal that can be picked up by the tv. All you have to have is a tv and you can watch their programming! There is no monthly bill or services to pay for. It was how tv started in the US. Eventually it got to the point where people are paying lots of money for it. If you want, you can still get the basic channels for free with your tv! They are switching to digital, so many people have had to buy new tvs for that. It is still cheaper than another monthly bill, though!

knowing how greedy companies are now they probably put a blocker on it so we can't get it.

I lived that way for two years and I watched TV on the internet and I had dvd's to watch and if I needed to watch something that wasn't on the net I would go to a relatives house or friends houses they didn't seem to care because they had planned on watching the same thing. Plus it saved me a lot of money cause I didn't have the cable bill to pay.

Ya 475 for a 2 bedroom a month plus bills leaves us too straped for cable bills to. SO its do this or nothing right now. I love her free air thing too I never heard of that before.
