Hi folks, this time I could do with as much help as I can get in the web design department, i'm in the process of learning web design and although I know that Adobe Dreamweaver along with Flash are probably the best around, but I am seeking clarification of this. I also wish to know of any other programs which maybe easier or that people have experienced. Is there any Linux based web design software packages? Thankyou Happy Mylotting.

Joomla hands down.
It is easy to learn and has content management for dynamic data base driven content and a SEO component can be added. best of all it is a free program at www.joomla.org
Enjoy!

Also if you need great cheap hosting I strongly suggest www.workathomehome.net
Not only can you get good hosting (send message to site moderator) but they also have help forums and lie free chat where you can receive all the help you need in getting your online biz off the ground

Cheers for the aPP advice, I have the resources and the time to download and try anything, I downloaded Ubuntu Linux 2day and I am going to try it later at home, I really want to expand past 300Gb, with the advent of 1Tb Hard drives for £70 I am going to excel to the next level, I have always been music oriented on my PC but I am changing direction toward the application arena! Thanks

Question: Do you already know Dreamweaver and flash? Because knowing one - it doesn't take much to learn all the others.
With these things - just pick one and run with it. Once you know one- all the other ones will be easy.
Good luck!
