i like those toys for cooking... i dont really have toys like those you buy at the toy stores, because we were poor. and the only birthday party i had remembered, there was only 1 toy i received and it was doctor kit toy, which i didnt like really.
i used to make my own toy, i remember i use softdrink bottle caps for my soup laddle, i put stick on it. then i use jar caps for my plates, and bigger caps for the pan, cups for the pots, for knife i just look for what ever i can use to cut grasses and other plants for my vegetables... lol... my juice are from the water used in rinsing the laundry like those of pants because they are colored blue .
when i grew up and had my own family, i bought so many toys for my daughter, stuffed toys, and those cooking toys, and other toys... which i kept, but this year, i started giving them all away because she dont use them anymore and we have so many already, because every birthdays and Christmases my kids receives so many.
it made me wonder when i was still a child why my mom would not buy me toys, there was this one mask i liked, it looks like sailor moon now, it was very pretty and i asked her to buy it for me, but she didnt bought it, i still remember it till now. and come to think of it, i dont remember having a godparents, i didnt receive any gifts from them.
yeah, you should take care of those toys that were given to you, it's like memories of your younger days. but then if it's just there on the cabinet and not used anymore, why not give it to some poor kids who will enjoy it. then your old toy will serve its purpose, to give joy to a child.

I was the "Lego and Board Games" type of toy lover when I was young.
I still remember my old collections. The space robots, the race cars and even a Lego Technic Robotic Set..
As for the board games, I had Monopoly, Ludo/Parcheesi, Scrabble and also Salpakan/Game of the Generals.

When I was a kid my aunties and uncles always give us toys but I don't really play all of our toys because my mother don't want us to play all the toys at one time since we might broke it after playing with my siblings. So, most of our toys were just design in the cabinet and only few toys who were old we used to play. Well, I don't mind it so much because I'd love to play more outside our house together with my friends than playing with my toys alone or with my siblings since we just end up fighting afterwards not like with my friends.
Honestly, I don't treasure so much with the toys that I have when I was a kid. So, with all of the toys that I have I just gave it with my younger sister. Same with my younger sister, she don't treasure with all of that toys. Some of it were broken and some we donate it to that charity.

I like playing with my G.I. Joe action figures. I think they're the best during that time. I think they're collector's items right now. I should have taken care of it when i was a kid. It was pretty expensive before and price ranges from 200 to 300 depending on the character. I play with them everyday and i even come up with stories which they will portray and i think it's quite action packed. lol! I could have been a great director. lol!

I spend most of my childhood playing with other children of my age. We used to do pretend play or mostly just play outdoor games. I don't actually remember a lot of toys during my childhood days, but one toy I can't really forget is the barbie doll with long hair that runs upto her feet. I got it from my aunt. I did enjoy cutting this doll's hair and I remember naming her a weird name like "Bechay" :D

I had a chimpanzee and kept biting his arms all the time.. We forgot it in a drive-in when i was small and i cried all the way.
After years, at the age of 13, i saw the very same chimpanzee in a shop! Rushed in bought it and started biting it the way i used to do! it was fun :)

Well, I never played with dolls, but like every kid, I had this bear which I loved like anything. I would take it anywhere I went and used to have it with me all the time. As I grew up, I started leaving them behind and going for more sports oriented toys like bat and ball to play cricket and such.

Every December, all of the kids in the family receive a gift from the company my dad was working with. But guess what? I was trying to think of any toys I particularly like but none came to mind. What I can remember though are the outdoor games my neighbors and I play every weekends particularly during summer vacations. We did a lot of things then - hide and seek (specially at dusk until night), sha-tong, high jump (with two of the kids holding each end of the stick at the tip of their fingers) and lots of invented games.

For me, i don't have much toys during my childhood as my family are not that rich and didn't receive toys as present wuring birthday too. However, i did also have some toys, mostly is bought by my mother for me. Among the toys, i like Lego the most. It's the type of toys where we can assemble the pieces into the shape or things as we like. I used to have a few different sets of Lego and i'll play it together with other toys, making it looks like a 'war scene', where there're good and bad guys fighting.I enjoyed myself in my own imagination, haha.
Those are the good old times, haha. Anyway, i'm still keeping those toys until now. I'm just too reluctant to leave or throw them away, as they're my sweet memories of my childhood. Perhaps one day later, i'll passdown these toys to my children to play too. Just maybe at that time they'll think that "oh these toys are already out-dated". It'll become antiques in the future i think.

Well most of the times we would be playing outside with other kids. Either football or cricket or badminton or other games like london statue, hide and seek, dabba icespice and so much more. With school, homework and then spending as much time playing outside, I hardly had time to play with toys. But still there were times when we did play with toys. Dolls and especially barbie dolls were one of my favourites. And apart from this I liked the Lego a lot. I used to play with lego as much as dolls.

Hmmm the toys I really like playing are barbie dolls LOL, I know it is girly but then I get to prettend that I have a friend and what they are doing around the house or sometimes in the office. It is hard being an only child so i try to make my imagination vivid hehehe. It is scary come to think of it, but then that was me lol.

Hello bhahytart. I was born at a time when I could not get a lot of toys in the sixties. The toys I had were usually made by hand by myself and my other childhood playmates. I admire kids nowadays with so many toys available for them to play. My son has boxes of toys. Most of them are cars of different kinds and some other toys.

I love to cook, so I always have so many pots, pans and plates and spoons so far and so on. Or paper money, I had like case to case. One day, when we moved to a new home then my mom found my paper money and she got mad so bad cuz a lot of them and she was about to burn them all. And she said, I will get a lot of money when I grow up, sometimes I believe what she said but sometimes i do

Hi...a good question that brings back a lot of fond memories. I loved dolls, my bike, "playing house," and my paints when I was a child. I also loved coloring books and crayons, and craft kits for making pot holders.
