will you be honest to yourself and to all the people concerned with the issue? Or will you simply tell lies to escape. Or if the thing is replaceable like a lost pen, will you secretly replace it?
I usually do the first and the third most often. What about you?

Honesty is the best policy. I hate lying and don't like being lied to. If one lie about something, you have to remember very well what you said otherwise you might get cought out.
If something is replaceble, I will tell the truth about what happened and replace the item. It is not always easy to tell the truth but is the best way out.
Blessings

I agree with you view. Honesty is indeed the best policy. But it's really hard to keep up the virtue.
Yes I think telling truth might help. But it can be dangerous too. Mostly some truth will cause the relationship to stagger a bit.
What will you do then?

I have lost relationships before because of honesty, even a girlfriend I loved very much. I was upset and heartbroken about the broken relationships but i came over it. If a relationship is broken because of a truth rather than a lie, then the relationship is not worth it. I base all my relationships on absolute truth. I do not have many friends but the few I do have are special and honest, and they apreciate me with my faults and all. We trust one another with always telling the truth.

That's really bad. I mean losing a girlfriend because you were honest. Did you ever try to convince her that she should admire you for your honesty? Okay, if the situation was really bad,you don't have any other choice.

I usually do not replace small things like a pen or pencil..unless its so costly...But I accept the truth..and if he/she needs me to replace it I will surely do it

That is a good view my friend. I think you have got some new idea within you. That's good. Anyway I think we must replace anything- however small and also accept the truth. That's an ideal personality.(I'm not that ideal, of course.)
I enjoyed your response.

I would probably be honest and admit my fault to everyone concerned. I do not telling lies because they almost always catch up with me. I want to have peace of mind all the time and I would just fret and get stressed when I tell lies, afraid that people would find out. Thus, I have this policy of telling the truth always. In cases like a lost pen, I would tell the truth and promise to replace it.
Have a nice day!

Oh, it is so hard to admit when you have done something wrong! I want to tell the truth and admit to it. I am more able to do that as an adult. As a child it is hard because you are scared of loosing privileges and things. As an adult you should accept the consequences that come with your actions. If you apologize and mean it, maybe things will be ok. To lie will only make things worse.

Yes it's really hard. I can get a hang of your feelings. Sometimes one is forced to lie. And Lying is not a good habit. Especially when it goes haywire and wrecks many relationships.
I really enjoyed your response.

I think lies are a natural defense mechanism of a human person to protect himself/herself from some impending danger. For me though, I try to be as honest as I can be. I want to practice honesty more and more. But there really are sometimes that I have to lie. Something like replacing a lost pen could be a time when I would lie. But telling lies on a bigger scale is a no no for me especially if someone else would suffer because of my lies. So that's it! i try to practice honesty as much as I can.
