I have searched online and can not find the significant differences between AMD and Intel. I know they have basic differences in the way they process the information, but in the big picture what are the major advantages and major downfalls of each?

I prefer Intel because its long lasting and reliable. AMD processors generate more heat compared to Intel. But i think AMD processor is much better for gaming Than Intel.

I will say that from the consumer's point of view, you can't really see much difference. For some model, Intel waste produces more heat and AMD waste even more on others. So, when it is the time to choose, just pick the one with better performance and consumes less heat and still within your budget.

I have had computers that had intel in it, as well as amd, and honestly, i find no difference except for price.

Amd processors are more user friendly and you can leave your computer on for hours and it will still work perfectly..
intel feels weary and weak after a time..
