What is important to you in a relationship?

Hi lucky, I cannot determine to myself what is the most important thing in a relationship. I agree with you that communication is a must. I also believe that trust and respect must be included. I think, each one of them is working hand in hand to make a good and lasting relationship.Communication is a very essential thing in a relationship. Because of it, misunderstanding can be prevented. If there is constant communication, lover will be able to know and understand each other well. And with that, I can say that time must always be given to each other. No matter how busy lovers are with their work or studies, still they must give time to talk with their partners.Well, communication is important, but without trust and respect, still a relationship will be wasted.No matter how partners talk everyday to each other, without trust, their talks will just be full of doubt. A love can hardly grow with doubt always around them. Trust always accompanies the word love. Without trust, there will be no love at all. I will also say same thing with respect. Because we are all human beings and have feelings. Lovers should treat each other with respect.

I think communication is a major role in a relationship. If you can't talk to your partner about how you feel about something there is a big problem. Also I believe honesty is another quality a relationship must have. You have to be able to trust your parner or there will always be arguments. I would rather my partner come up to me and say hey I am going out to get drinks after work instead of him saying I'm staying at work later and then I call his job and he isn't there.

Communication is very important. Trust is also very important. If there is no communication or trust in the relationship than it will more than likely fail.

Empathy is needed, you have to able to think the way your partner does. Understanding and trustworthiness are two main abilities a person should have ;)
