An apple a day? I'm eating mine - are YOU?

I've recently decided not to go on a diet as such but to start eating a bit healthier and start cutting back on the snacks, so instead of eating biscuits or crips or unhealthy snacky food i'm eating a small apple most days instead, sometimes a couple even! I really love apples and they satisfy me enough just to take away that craving for a snack, plus they are really healthy and let's face it no one ever got fat on apples! They also keept well (some fruits can go off quickly) and you don't need to prepare them, you can pick them up and even eat them on the run. I think i've eaten an apple for at least 7 days running now. Tey seem to be one of the cheapest fruits too so good for the pocket (certainly cheaper than a chocolate bar!). What about you?

I love apples. My daughter loves apples too.
I'm lucky cause most preschoolers don't care for fruits.
Apples are really healthy and a nice alternative to other
commercially prepared snack foods.
And, they're good for someone who is trying to lose weight.

In the past, I usually eat an apple a day that is after dinner time. It's good and healthy for you, you will feel more fresh after eating it. But after eating it every single day, I started to feel bored with its taste and then I stopped eating it. I guess I really don't like eating the same food or the same fruits everyday even though it's good for you. If it's just random days than it's okay. So right now, I don't lag the taste anymore.

I use to like apples a lot. Since I lost my kidneys I was told that the only fruit that I may eat regularly are apples and pears, now I can't stand apples. Pears I would eat now and again but I dislike apples. Fruit and vegetables contain potasium, some more than others. Too much potasium causes heart attack. Since I have no kidneys to control the potasium, I must limit my intake of most fruit and vegies.
Enjoy your apples.

Well, i would not recommend you to eat apple everyday because this causes gastric problems due to high level of acidity in apples. I would surely recommend you to eat various fruits, changing your taste everyday.Me personally, i would have taken lot-fat biscuits and a few fruits just to make sure there is not only fruits in my dinner.

An Apple a day. Well, apples here are really costly and since i don't have chocolates each day, I cannot really compensate for the apples. But apart from that I get a regular supply of other fruits like bananas and oranges and I eat them. I like apples and used to eat them well enough when hey were cheaper. With the increasing heat, it takes a lot of resources to maintain them and keep them fresh, so they cost a lot here.

Fruit and vegetables are some of the healthiest and yummy food there is. I do eat apples, but not every day. Each day I eat some kind of fruit, though. Tonight it's musk melon and strawberries. I also bought grapes and oranges when I shopped, so they'll be eaten later in the week.
Keep up the good work!

I have half an apple five days a week as part of my weekday lunch. I started just eating half of one several years ago because they had gotten very big and very expensive. Now I only eat half of one even if they are medium size.

I love apples myself, and it's also smart to cut back like you said. I find that I can eat what I want if I eat in smaller portions. I love all kinds of fruits and vegetables so alot of the time during the day I won't have a sandwich for lunch I'll just have a piece of fruit. Good luck!!
