Healthy Pasta

Hi everyone, I am looking for healthy pasta recipes and was hoping you might have some you could tell me about. We don't eat a lot of pasta in our house as my husband is not a huge fan, but our children and I love it. I am on a diet and am wanting to find healthy recipes - I have a few that I made myself but it's nice to have something different every now and then. I make it sometimes with spiral pasta, pesto, vegetables (such as steamed brocolli, carrot, etc)and we love it.

crush 1 clove of garlic
crush 2cm piece of ginger
1 chopped onion
cook in teaspoon of olive oil till onions are starting to brown
add
2 cans diced tomato
1 cup of corn kernels
1 cup of peas
1 cup of kidney beans
cook for about 15mins on medium heat, blend to a sauce that suits the pasta you have chosen.
you can add diced bacon or chopped scallop if you wish.

Wow! Pasta is my personal favorite, coz it is so very Italian! ;)Well, if you are looking for a pasta recipe that is healthy as well as tasty, I bet you would love Pasta Salads!
You can also make them in great varieties, also you would just love to make them again and again coz its so damn easy to whip these salads up!

I like the receipes on the website you posted here. Thank you. I can't wait to make my first cold pasta salads, I am not pasta big fan, but I like pasta salads very much. I am so happy I can have this recipe. Thanks.

I do not have any specific recipes but I do know that you should steer clear of cream sauce and use more tomato based sauces to keep it healthy.

Thanks for your response! We don't have cream based sauces on our pasta much these days, so we opt for the tomato based ones when we do have pasta. I like just a fresh pasta with steamed vegies & maybe a low fat dip stirred through to give it a little bit of a creamy taste - I use tzatziki or hommus a lot for this.
