Is music ever going to make a comeback?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, but for years now it seems to me like music has taken a descent into shallow lyrics and redoing of populars. If the lyrics are good, the beat is lacking, if the beat is good, the lyrics are aching. Personally, my genre of choice consists of rock, alternative, some rap and club music, techno, etc... Now, that should give me a nice variety to choose from, rigth??? WRONG!!! Though for the most part I can find rock that I like to listen too, 99 percent of the stuff on the radio is popular music, which means that you're stuck listening to monotone Rihanna and her annoying overplayed songs, orBeyonce, who's man-hater hits like "if you like it then you should have put a ring on it" and other very underqualified stuff just flood the station over and over and over again. Alternative is kind of phasing out, and techno isn't worth listening to unless you live in europe where raves and discos make the music acceptable! And ever popular music from Jason Mraz and John Mayer sparks no interest in me what so ever! Where can I get quality music that I can listen to without wanting to cement my ears shut? Who is going to save popular music as we know it? Is there anyone out there who wants to make real music again? Sure, Michael Jackson messed up in his personal life, but can anyone argue his music or dance moves? No. Unless you lie to yourself. Elvis cranked out hit after hit, Mariah use to display vocals like few can only ever dream of doing, 2pac rapped about stuff to think about, Barry White made us want to take off our clothes!!!! Who is going to step in and bring us back to good old quality music?

All your really looking at is popular music. From the sound of your musical interests, you would probably not enjoy anything I would have to offer; but I can tell you good songs with moving lyrics do exists under the radar. You should look into musical fusions. I like metal as a general genre, however when bands mix elements of classical music, folk, jazz, blues, ambient, electronic, and similar the metal music just gets so much better.

Yep, as this guy have said, you're one of those people who are only in to the mainstream. Try to listen to hard rock, or the metal genres and see how you like it. There are famous Metal artists out there that you can try, like, try the famous songs of Metallica, or Bullet For My Valentine. Those are 2 of my favorite bands, you could enjoy them too, if you could. Just remember to get original copies of their music, though. Good day, my friend.

Hello. Are you one of those hard to please listeners? You sound like you don't appreciate anything anymore! Are you a musician? An Instrument player, singer? Well I must admit, there's lots of underqualified material on the radio. But i appreciate the efforts of John Mayer and Jason Mraz, cuz they have musical quality. And they are not cheap. I don't comment on artist of RnB, cuz if i don't like them, i wouldn't even waste my time complaining about them. There's a big difference in perspective if you're a musician or a listener/music collector. Peace.
