Hi jeiay41, you may contact the vendor from whom you have bought XP. He may help you to get the CD key. You may givt it a try.
Hope you get it soon

The key is not located anywhere on the CD. Every CD is identical for each release and region. They do not make unique CD's with the key on each one which would take a lot of time, money and resources. You made the mistake of lending your CD with your key to somebody which technically you're not supposed to do. Since you don't seem to mind the legality of software End User License Agreements, you can look for a XP keygen on some warez site and hope you don't get infected with some kind of malware.

I actually haven't found a way yet to locate the key from the Cd since I have a oringinal Windows XP home disc but have lost my key to it.
I have searched high and low on the web but all I find is software and utilities that help you locate it in your registry on a installed one.
If you happen to locate a software that lets you find a key from cd, Please let me know.
Thanks.
