Why scientist is male oriented field?

Why scientist is male oriented field???.. rarely females taking scientist as a career option..

well that is because a girls brain thinks totally differently. we men are very curious to know about how things work , but girls don't get enough time to think beyond their girlish dreams.well but there were only some female scientists like madam curie.she was a great lady and discovered radium.

I think in general it's just less interesting to females than males. Of course it is to some, and there are definitely some female scientists. But for the most part I really think it just doesn't appeal to as many of us.
