Ok ok.. i know no shouting right now while i am in mylot. But that is my usual reaction when i am stressed or when there is something inside me that i want to remove or get over with. Like when i am mad over something what i do is get inside my room, cover my face with a pillow then SHOUT!! hahaha so no one will hear me..and then i cry and after that..it is gone. How about you?

Careful with the shouting now, else you'll have throat problems if you shout too much and too often. hehehe.. When I have problems or when I feel that the weight of the world is on my shoulders and I can't do anything about it, I would sleep. Yeah, you read right, I sleep on it to avoid confrontations and hot heads. When I can't sleep, I just close my mouth and go somewhere so as to avoid trouble with other people. Praying is also a good thing to do too. Good luck friend!

Shouting out loud is really not my cup of tea. When stressed, mixed emotions or very problematic about whats going on with my life I just go to my bedroom then cry..... pray a while and sleep. I sometimes look for someone to talk personnal stuff and somehow ask advice on what should be the best answer or sulotion to my problem.

I guess thats one way of removing stress but certainly not the healthy way. First of all even if you stick your face in the pillow your neighbours will still hear and wonder whats going on. Moreover your blood pressure can rise to a high degree and you can even burst a blood vessel in you brain which can cause severe damage. Personally i don`t ever get stressed out and even if i did i will go to a quiet place, my room preferably, take a few deep breaths, blow out my breath completely and then watch it come in slowly without any force and then watch it go out naturally without force. In a few minuts the breathing stops completely and the mind becomes completely thoughtless. I try to remain in that state as long as i can, half an hour, 45 mins or an hour. At the end i find that i am completely calm and without any tension and stress. Try it out and see if it helps. You can also lie down on your bed and keep a piece of ice rolled up in a kerchief on your forehead and close your eys. Lie down for sometime and see how you cool down physically and mentally. lol.

We live in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain so I just go out and scream and scream and scream until my screaming finally turns into laughter. What is funny and usually gets me laughing is my dogs will howl right along with my screaming as if to say, "I hear you Mom!!"....lol

Hahaha, you sounds exactly like my Mom's friend. She did that ... a lot ... and yeah her pomerian dogs would scram when they heard her voices LOL ... but unlike you, she does not use pillows when she let out her battle cry :). I guess her dogs sort of go "Red alert ... Incoming Amazoness". I usually prefer to listen to calm music when I am stressed out and no I definitely won't cry for many reasons - being a male is definitely one of the main reason :). My other alternative is to watch funny shows/movies. That works more than 90% of the time for me. Singing is another alternative though it is less preferred - to me it's like a double-edged sword. It can help me relax ... BUT ... if someone caught me doing it then I would be even more stressed LOL. I guess everyone have their own way of dealing with stress, so if it works for you, I wouldnt say what you did to relieve your stress is a bad thing ;). L30n84 L30n84
