Our boss is talking behind our backs, what can we do?

Day after day our boss talks behind everyones back. And we're getting tired of it. Its one thing when my co-workers and my co-workers parents come up to me and tell me what my boss says about me. . . but its another thing when my kids come up to me and tell me what she is saying (i work at a private K - 8th school). Tomorrow my co-workers and I are having a meeting the principal about it. I want to come in with some sort of research but im not sure where to look or what exact laws she is breaking. Does anyone know? Or does your boss talk behind your back?
