What kind of books do you like to read? Favorite authors?

A Girl Who Likes To Read - A little girl with a pile of books next to her with a big smile on her face definitely likes to read, wouldn't you say.

I have loved reading since my mom read to us as kids. I loved horse stories, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Dr. Suess and The Bobbsey Twins back then. Now,I love mystery stories the most with a little romance mixed in. Some of my favorite authors are Erica Spindler, James Patterson, Catherine Coulter, Janet Evanovich, JA Jance, Dean Koontz, Robin Cook, Stuart Woods, Michael Prescott, Julie Garwood, John Sanford and Michael Connelly. I would hightly recommend these authors to anyone loving to read mysteries.

I haven't heard of any of those, but I like all kinds of books and of course any kind that I consider to be good.

You probably know their work. Doyle wrote the Sherlock Holmes books; Dahl wrote books including James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Matilda.

I am a total book worm. I read anything I can get my hands on. My favorite authors are, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, and I am a fan of the Harry Potter books. I tend to gear toward anything that has a paranormal or creepy feel to it.

Reading is a definite passion of mine. I have read a few of the authors on you list. I would have to add Greg Isles, Phillip Margolin, Mary Higgins Clark, Lisa Jackson, Kay Hooper just to name a few more. I actually read a lot of different writers, but my main interests are in psychological suspense, murder mysteries, and supernatural. I saw John Saul on someone's post here and I like him too. If you like true crime books, Ann Rule is wonderful.

You seem to share the same taste in books that I do. There are so many authors I like I can't remember them all and I keep finding new ones.

I still enjoy reading the Dr Suess books to my grandkids. My two favorite authors are Karen Robards, and Jean M Auel. I am not too big on reading. I wish I could get into it more. When I go to the beach in the summer I bring a book to read. It is usually something by Karen Robards, one I picked up at a tag sale for 50cents. I never buy them new.

I love to read. I read true crimes, romance, mystery, thrillers, history (mainly of this area), & some bios...among some other things thrown in I wouldn't normally read. Some of my favorite authors are: Nora Roberts, Dean Koontz, Jude Deveraux, V.C. Andrews (even the ghost writer), John Saul, & Ann Rule. On average I read about four books a month. Sometimes it can be less and sometimes more.

I like reading fantasy, period novels, old literature, and texts on martial arts (I practice Isshinryu). Sometimes I'll go for a mystery, but I like them to be fantasy related or set in an alternate time or place. I am not much into the here and now type of setting.

I read almost anything. I tend to read a lot of Oprahs Bookclub books as they vary a lot in content and haven't found one yet that I didn't like. I also read everything Dean Koontz writes.

I think Oprah picks out some good books as well. I read one that was really good that they made in to a movie. I can't remember the name of it right now, seems like it had something to do with a white flower. I like Koontz as well.

I like poetry by a variety of writers. I love fantasy books such as Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and other such things. I particularly like books by Ursula LeGuinn, Roald Dhal and CS Lewis. I haven’t been looking at many new books or new authors recently, but I’d love to get back to exploring bookstores and finding good books.
