With my height of 5"2', all my life I have never weigh more 100 lbs.! It sucks cause I've always been under weight, and yes I'm skinny, though most people think my built is just alright.. I'm wondering, what would be the fastest way of gaining weight? I know, some of you might think? "Are you freaking serious?!" It might sound easy for most, that usually it's more of losing weight that most people worry and problem about.. But the truth is, it is just the same, how difficult for most people to lose weight is as difficult for me to gain weight.. I want to put weight so bad and it's just so hard on my part, and mind you, I eat like a pig! Well not literally, but I eat a lot! Yea I eat alot, in 1 sitting for most of the time.. So for the dietitian or anyone knows about health, would you advise me something about gaining weight?

Your body is exactly where it is meant to be! Don't go mucking around ruining your metabolism. Why do you want more weight? If you can't gain, then that's the way your body is geared to be. If you purposefully gain weight you could be in for back problems, foot and knee problems and who knows what else. Even an extra 10 pounds could harm you.
Accept and love your body for what it is and appreciate the fact that you'll probably never be fat or have health problems associated with excess weight!

First of all, make sure you don't mess up your diet! A good nutrition is the basics of a healthy life.
What I'd suggest is not to keep an over caloric diet just because you want to gain weight, and I would strongly discourage you to try out gym drinks, liquid proteins and all those chemistry: it is serious stuff, and must be taken under specific condition and possibly under medical control.
I would focus on your everyday eating routine. You say you eat quite enough and that's good. Make sure you have a good balance of proteins and carbs (big sources on energy) and feel free to exaggerate with fruit and vegetables that are an incredible source of vitamins, minerals and fibres, that are essential for a good metabolism.
If you diet is ok, consider doing some workout. Did you know that muscles are heavier than fat parts? I'm not saying to body-build, but getting your muscles working instead of just eating and wait until the belly grows will let you put some weight on in the right way: it's not to get fat, but to be fitter and healthier, isn't it?

Hi Smooch, I'm 5'2", and have always been under 100lbs. Just like you, I eat non-stop and snack on really unhealthy stuff like chips, nuts, ice-cream, cheesecakes, chocolates and so forth. Yup, I feel okay, though others tell me I'm thin, skinny, etc. But now that I'm older, I've put on some weight, about 103-105lbs. I think it's age, slower metabolism, lack of exercise! So enjoy your weight and don't worry so much. Sooner or later, it will catch up with you. I should worry when I gain too much weight and can't get into my jeans or skirts!

eat more and do some excerise also.this is my first time to hear someone want to gain weight while all others want to lose weight and shed their body.
if you feel not bad and others also think your are allright. i'd suggest you to keep the normal ways and do not pay much attention to put weight on you

Hmmm, strange, trying to gain weight haha. Havn't heard someone complain about trying to gain weight in awhile.
You just have high metabolism, it sounds like. Eating a lot won't exactly help. You could also try to build some muscle.

Im sure some type of vitamin or supplement may help. Something suggested by your doctor.
Also a diet may work. Not a diet of cutting down but a diet of what you are eating and how many times a day you eat. The kind of meats and proteins you need are in the diet of what a body builder would eat because they eat to gain fat that they can turn into muscle. This may help for you on a lower level than body building lol. Just simply eating the right things to start gaining wait.

Losing weight wont make you taller,, does it?? i don't think so, anyway have some healthy food and fresh fruits, avoid taking oily and fats much. juice can be serve regularly. head up for light exercise like stretching, jumping, running and all. not that weight lifting and all.
but perform your exercise regularly do not be lazy.
all the best
