I have a mobile phone its not the best on the market but is not the worst by a long shot. Recently I have just been getting aggitated with having a mobile, i cant b bothered to text people or ring people from my mobile would much rather use my landline also my calls on my landline are free all the time, what should i do get rid of my mobile or keep it just incase?
Has anyone else been through this or am i just being boring?
Please any insight would be great!!

I think it is good to have a cellular phone, just in case. That is, of course, if you can afford it. If you have children, you may need something while you are out and about. Or, in case of an emergency. Plus, they are handy to have if you travel a lot. And if your landline phone goes out, then you always have a back up.
You don't necessarily have to answer your cell phone. Just let people know that you are busy, or to call you on your landline. If nothing else, when you see them calling in on the cell, call them back from your landline. Eventually, they are bound to get the hint.
I had this problem a few years ago with my brother. He would get irritated that I didn't answer my cell, so finally I just started calling him back right away from the landline. However, now all I have is a cell phone so I just hope people call me because I get free incoming calls. LOL

I went a few months without owning a mobile and although I rarely use one I actually didn't feel comfortable not having one. So I succumbed and got a new cheap mobile on pay as you go and basically have it purely for emergencies. I think I've only used it about once since getting it, but it gives me some re-assurance that if whilst I'm out I get into difficulties, I have a back problem which causes mobility issues, I have easy access to a phone so that I can call someone for help.
I'm actually trying to convince my dad that he need ones, but his arguement is that if he gets into difficulties whilst out he will use a pay phone as that what people did before mobiles were invented. He refuses to take on board that since the invention of mobiles the number of pay phones has seriously declined. In fact just thinking about it I can only think of one still in operation in the town I live when I remember there use to be many.

Hi angelsmommy, you are not boring! I am in the exact same boat at the moment. My cell phone, mobile phone is driving me nuts. I can't stand it ringing.
It annoys me to no end. Plus it is really expensive. The phone itself is cool, I like it. The battery sucks but it takes cool pics. lol. The point is, like you it is far more cost effective to use the land line. I will keep the cell phone as I can get Pay as You Go cards for it so when I am on the road I will have a means of communication in case of any emergencies or car troubles. I am lucky that my carrier will let me take my contract off and go pay as you go. Check with your mobile phone company and see if you can do this also. If not, just get rid of it. You will feel much better.

It is nice to have a mobile phone right? We can phone others everytime we like and can be called by others anytime and anywhere? Imagine several years ago when there were rarely mobile phones on the market. It was hard to communicate. Imagine a century ago. Angel, .... let me thank you for commenting on my post.
