I have to make this discussion because I am curious about what is the scariest or shocking thing you have ever seen while going to the bathroom because the other night after doing a couple things on mylot I had to go take a tinkle. So while I was going I heard little feet tapping on the floor, of course I did not think anything of it. Then just as I went to get some toilet paper off the sink in front of me I saw this little creature that was either a field mouse or mole running across the floor right in front of me. So of course I screamed and called for my hubby and he said what is the matter I told him that there was a field mouse or a mole that ran across the floor. He then told me you will have that from time to time. I told him I don't care that he needs to set up traps and get rid of it. He of course probably thinks I was being a wuss. I mean come on wouldn't you scream if all of a sudden you seen something running across the floor? What is the scariest or most shocking thing you have ever seen while going to the bathroom? I can't wait to see your responses to see if maybe I am just overly being a wuss or what not. Happy Mylotting

Yes i would. In fact, i wasn't going to the washroom but I was cleaning the house and damb! A great big rat ran by. Yes Seppy a Rat. I went for high ground immediately, screaming my head off. What the.. It's a long story why they appeared but man we took care of it immediately. I couldn't walk on the floor until I knew otherwise. Imagine getting around from couch to couch, from couch to chair. Made me nearly throw up to say the least. Once all was captured but still feeling shrieked, I got the disinfectant and cleaned everything as he ran over the coffee table too. The house has a basement. The rats came because someone in the neighborhood obviously has something going on that attracts them. The guy next door has chicken and we have feed in big garbage cans in the basement for the livestock. The rats were in the basement and came up through the furness vents. How? Well I found that out in one big hurry and shut the little Bas***** out for good. Turns out there was an opening between the paneling (old house) and the vent. The vents are not on the floor but on the wall, the bottom of it level with the floor. I crammed foil into the hole to take up some of the room and then squeezed nearly a whole tube of caulking in there. I want to know that they are never going to be getting back in there, ever. We set traps in the basement too. It is a working basement, half above ground level, so we don't want rats in there or anywhere for that matter. haven't had a problem since. Oh no Seppy you are in no way being a wuss, overly or otherwise. I would of done the same. You were cool and calm compared to me. Be careful with the kids if you set traps, right? Maybe set them at night when everyone is in bed, providing the kids don't get up in the middle of the night to use the washroom. In the morning send your husband in there first thing to take care of any catches or engage the trap for setting the following night until the mouse is gone! You poor thing.

Great! Then you have the perfect opportunity. Friday night. This is a good thing. I agree that rats are pretty much the worst. They give me the creeps big time. I never want to have to experience that again. Thank you for your comment and wishing you much luck with capturing the little critter.

Wow, I would have done the same thing if I was in the living room or kitchen. I so don't like creatures that thinks they have to come into someones house. I will sure be putting down some traps. Although it is going to be hard cause my 3 year old just does not want to sleep in his bed ever so he sleeps on the couch. But I will be laying them down on Friday though because our children will be staying at their grandparents house. So that works out great. Well I am glad that you got that whole rat thing taken care of. To me Rats are way worse then anything else... Happy Mylotting

Hi Seppy, I can imagine the fright you got but it was not so bad compared to the experience of the Taiwan man I wrote about earlier today. Check out the discussion under "people" entitled "This man got the shock of his life". It will make you feel a lot better and realise you got off fairly lightly.

I would have to say after reading your discussion I am so lucky that it did not happen to me. God Bless that he was ok after having that happen.

I don't know that I have ever seen anything shocking or scary in by bathroom unless you can count my own reflection. I would have been freaking out about the mouse too. I have seen them before in my old place, but not here. I still don't like them though.

Your reflections don't count, but yeah I hate mice and any other kind of rodent really when it comes to the inside of my place. I don't get why they think they have to come inside if they are meant to be outside creatures. Happy Mylotting

One day in my native place I saw a rat running across the bathroom floor.... and that was the most scariest thing.. I still cannot figure out how that rat got inside the in the first place... but as long as I was there, I never used that bathroom again.... till date, whenever I enter a bathroom, that rat flahes into my mind and gives me a creepy feeling... a real horro situation for anyone to be in.

I would go through the same thing too. I so don't like any kind of rodents running around inside a home unless it is a pet.

LMAO...About the Alien part. Man now I don't feel so bad knowing that you had a snake in the bathroom which can eat the mole or mouse. So I guess seeing a mole or a mouse should be nothing then. I would probably pass out from not breathing if I saw a snake in the bathroom. Happy Mylotting
