Ikariam patch 3.1!

Any Ikariam players here? I wanted to take a moment to talk about the new patch that has just come out! And while I'm kinda p***ed off that I lost a bunch of Crystal, I gotta say the island and world view redesign is definitely sweet! Plus they now give you the feature to occupy enemy towns! So, what I want to know is, overall, what do you guys think of the new patch that has just been released? Love it? Hate it? Let me hear your thoughts!

I used to play Ikariam too. I was leading a pretty strong alliance, I had many cities and enough resources to back-up a strong army. But all that crumbled when I learned you can't actually occupy enemy towns, so I deleted my account, as I had no further thrill from the game...
It's great they made it possible to occupy enemy towns, but I don't think I'll join the game again. I don't like the idea of building back all that I had when I know I had it before and gave it all away. It was a nice experience, but I'm not going back.

I understand what you mean. It might not take as long with your past experience, but you still do have to build up from scratch, which is a ton of work.

i don't think much of it, just a nicer cleaner area to play with, and the part i hate the most was i lost over 20K in marble XO
i wish id get it back, they didn't even list a date or time for the patch to go thrue!

Yeah, I mean, the least they could have done is given everyone some sort of forewarning. The new feature kinda looks sweet, though.
