Would you tell me something good about your life right now?

I would love to hear some good news. I guess the thing I would call good going on in my life right now would be having moved into a new apartment. Yes, I couldn't change the apartment complex (who knew it would be so hard to find a first floor apartment in my price range that wasn't in a worse neighborhood I currently am in?). And funny, I ended up on the top floor! Oh well, it is much better than the apartment I had been in, below the first floor, the "sub" floor.
It is so much better. They made sure to make any changes they needed to after all that had happened to me in my first apartment. I'm decorating little by little, as I can afford it. My dad gave me the couch he had in his office (barely used) so the decorating scheme of my living room is different now.
Now, you...

The only good thing I can say is happening in my life is that Im getting offered photo-shoot which is great and something i have always wanted as it makes me feel confident and good about myself as I suffered badly form really low self esteem and confidence last year.

Well my good news is that I am stable at my job making more moeny than before. I have friends. It sounds weird but I moved to Miami with a boyfriend and I had no friends and he wouldn't allow me to do anything so we broke up and now I am just as happy as ever. I have friends that accpet me and help me become more positive. I met a new guy that I don't think will be a boyfriend but he pushes me to do the things I need to do. Also, I should be getting my own place sometime this year.

Well, the only good news I have at this time is that my husband is finally going to be able to see a doctor on June the first about his cancer on his nose and his back problems. It was suggested that he sign up for SSI. And so he went and got that underway as well. No results yet from that though.

He just got the papers this month for it and just sent them out last week. He never tried before. But it is getting harder and harder for him to work and since the cancer is spreading worse and now down into the corner of his eyes it makes it harder for him to see and he is having vision problems also.

Hi AmbiePam, I have been away awhile so hadn't realised you have moved but yes being up high sounds much better than being on basement level I agree. Have fun with the decorating and the fact that you will do it yourself bit by bit will make you appreciate it even more. I have been in my home over three years and still haven't got it as I want it but getting there LOL. The good things is that I thank God for my wonderful friends and family who help me rise above all of life's hurdles. Huggles. Ellie :D

the whole recession has brought me closer relationship wise
I know that losing anything won't kill me I will still have my hubby
financially we're hanging on a thread
I am just hoping that we can keep the house and the shop for a few more months
after that I'm ready to let go if necessary
It's unfair because my shop is new and without recession last year we would've made some money that can help pay off a part of the loan
but I learned now that too much expectation is bad
and I know now that my life is still better than other people
I still have a husband that loves me in poor or rich
and I can count on mylot friends for tips and venting
if there is anything material we have to give up, we will get it back later
that's what these things are anyway, available when money is

no need to be sorry Ambie
whatever money can't buy, I have them and I'm not trading them for anything
what money can buy, I let it go. I can always get it back when things improve
by the way glad you move to a better aptment

It may sound strange but the best thing going for me is the fact that I have no pain, and I am healthy. I had this very bad pain in my shoulder that caused me a lot of suffering. I had gone for so many tests and eventualy the doc said they can't find anything wrong, I just have to live with it. I took so many pain tablets as I could, but nothing worked. I prayed a lot and cryed before the Lord. I know my family also prayed because they saw my suffering.
Then, one afternoon, just like that, no pain. I still had pain the whole morning and in the afternoon it just disapeared, instantly. It never came back and it is afew weeks now. I am most greatfull for this relief and when I hear of someone suffring from pain I pray for them because I know the feeling.
I feel great and I do not keep quiet about it, I am rejoycing.
Enjoy decorating,
Blessings

Congrats on the new apartment AmbiePam that's awesome! That's great that your Dad gave you a couch that has been barely used too . My main good news right now is that I'm expecting sometime in October! I won't know a more accurate due date until I go for my ultrasound on the 22nd. Best of luck in your new home sweetie

Well, the most excitign news is that I get to graduate from community college on Saturday! Do you remember a little over a year ago when I was SOOO scared about actually starting? Who would have known that 18 months later I would be walking across that stage, not only graduating, but graduating with honors!
Friday night, all the girls who were on my end of the hall at college 20 years ago are coming to the house to celebrate my graduation! I haven't seen 3 of the 4 of them in more than 20 years! I am sooo excited

I have a roof over my head and clothes on my back. My husband and I got help from a local church with some food. I also have my husband. I say that because about a year and a half ago I almost lost him to blood clots in his lungs. I feel like no matter how bad you think things are, not only is there always someone worse off than you, but you can always find something good in your life.

The first good thing that is happening in my life right now is that I thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for my life and for leading me to this website. Here I get to meet people like you and I get to express my feelings, it's an awesome privilege just to be able to share with others. Okay, now, I'm so happy to hear about ur new apartment. I always get excited when it comes to decorating and girlie stuff like that, lols. I used to live in apartments too but now I have my own home. I can decorate it however I want to for the most part and nobody can chew me out because i'm grown, lols. I just planted some tomato plants out in the yard and also some cucumbers. The cucumbers came up after just a couple of days, I was absolutely floored. I love the feung shui style of decorating, keeping everything, light, airy spacious and uncluttered.I always get a bang out of buying something new for the house. I am always looking around for pieces of decor that don't cost too much. It's a great feeling to have ur own place and not have to answer to anyone. Well that's it for now, the best thing in my life is that I have met so many new friends. Thanks to mylot and a few other social networking sites. Hope you have a great life and maybe we can remain friends if you will add me on ur list. I would love to know more about you. Happy mylotting!

That's one of the things I like the most about being single. I don't have anybody to answer to. When my mother passed away in 1997, I got the house. Even though I miss both of my parents, I enjoy living here by myself very much. I don't have anybody bossing meKathy.

Well, I really can't think of any good thing happened around me these days. It seems I'm falling into a depressing situation. I know complaint doesn't make any sense. Life still continues. Anyway, I'm glad to hear your good news. Congraduations!

After twenty years of pulling weeds around this acre we live in, finally I am seeing more flowers than weeds! And I'm having lots of fun with them, and planting more, along with berries.. I hope you enjoy your new apartment. I think it's lots of fun to move into a new place! Once most of the work is done, that is!

We're calling her Zhaan, as soon as I get a pix, I'll post it.
We named her after another creature on Farscape (Rygel is also named for one.) http://farscape.wikia.com/wiki/Zhaan,_Pa'u_Zotoh
However, I'm not sure that #26 is really a good thing....

My good news is that I got my garden in early this year, and I believe that it will be a good one. Last year's garden was a total loss, so this year I did everything different, and I got in a couple of loads of good topsoil to help things along.

Congrats on your new apartment. Try Freecycle to obtain free furniture, decorations and much more. There are Freecycle groups all over just search on Yahoo Groups to find one in your area. The idea is to recycle gently used but unwanted items instead of sending them to the landfill. I've given away clothing and some mics items and found a dishwasher that only needed a new drain hose and works great.
Now my hubby likes to do the dishes:-)
My good news. The plant where my husband works has been short on hours ever since mid December. Instead of 40 hrs he only has 25, the minimum to keep benefits. One of the other workers found out they could draw partial unemployment so the owner of the plant is applying FOR them. So we will have a bit more income again. Since we have been so short on income we have learned just how little we can survive on so now most of the unemployment money will go in savings so we will actually have something set aside. Getting my son through high school was like kissing frogs and pushing bears up trees. He didn't take to school well and got into trouble as soon as he started high school. Caught riding in a stolen car, smoking pot, petty theft, truancy, felony vandalism. He got turned around and managed to graduate with a couple of special honors, leadership and special recognition form the principal for most improved GPA. It was still low only 2.89 but most improved. Now he will be completing electrical trade school next month. He has done it all on his own and even managed to get the loans without a cosigner. Woo Hoo! He may have to go out of state to get full time work in his chosen field so he can get his journeyman ticket... So we are going through a roller coaster of joy and fear at sending one of our kids out into the world. From wondering if he was going to be a bum at home to the real possibility that he may be completely on his own before his older sister. BTW she is a successful hair stylist and betrothed to a great man and is saving up to get married. Life is good.

My fiancee got a promotion. we're getting married next month. We'll both get to see our mom's next month. My youngest daughter will be 1 in July and my oldest will be 3 in June. My youngest is starting to walk and feed herself and my oldest is starting to potty train on a more regular basis.
