I just read this article. I am very disappointed. I am not sure if I want to watch next year without them. What do you think?

First the good news, at least for the show's fans: One Tree Hill will return for a seventh season in the fall.
Now the bad news: Chad Michael Murray won't be on it. Nor will his costar Hilarie Burton.
The CW network confirms to E! Online that both actors—who've been with the show since its 2003 debut—have been axed from the show.
While no official reason was given, both Murray and Burton have been in lengthy contract negotiations. The network says that new characters will be introduced to take their place.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I'm sorry, but you seriously just killed me :( I went on the CW boards to see if it was true, and it is :( I'm so upset now :( Darn it. I don't know how fun it's going to be to watch now :( The best part for me, was Leyton. Not even just them together, but the two characters individually. If we couldn't have Chad, why couldn't they at least keep Hilarie??? Couldn't they kill Lucas or something? :| Make him go into cardiac arrest again from the stress of Peyton bleeding :| I'd be okay with just Peyton, if we had to :(

I don't either. Even though it's become more like an ensemble now, it's still his show. He's like the center of it all :\ With 2 of the main characters gone (especially, my favorite couple), I'm not sure how the show will be. And I don't like that they're bringing in "replacements". I might end up liking the characters, but the thought of new main characters so late in the show isn't very fun. I was enjoying this season so much... mostly because of Lucas and Peyton. Very good drama *sigh*. And that's probably gone, now :(
I'm really scared that it will become a show that I feel I have to watch just to finish the series, instead of wanting to watch it :( I don't want that :( I went thought that with Gilmore Girls and was hard to go through.

I am not sure if I will be watching the next season without both of them. They are not actually my favorite characters in the show but I think it is not the same without them. Thank God Brooke is not leaving the show. Maybe I will watch the first two or three episodes first. If I did not like these episodes, then i will stop watching.

I haven't watched a lot of "One Tree Hill", but I do know that every time the lead leaves the show, it'll be off the air pretty soon. It's a pity--Murray's a good actor. I hope he's moving on to bigger and better things.

Oh my gosh!!!!! That shouldn't be!!!!! Who will be the narrator of the show?????? I love Chad Michael and he's a good actor and is really cute ;( I don't think I'd watch the season 7 without him..

Damn! I cant believe this and I so hope that this is not true. No matter what, OTH has revolved around these 5 main characters, and many scenes are from Lucas' (Chad) eyes.. I really hope that they have resolved this and Murray & Burton are back by now
