I tried it and I honestly don't wanna do it again! That's also my reason why I wanted a double job before, I wanted to make more money. So I got a job in the morning that starts at 7am. Then since our company is a third party company in a hotel, they usually ask me to work for another hotel after my shift in the morning which is till 1pm, I will go to the next hotel and work from 2 pm till 7 pm. And to make matters worse, I had a second job that starts at 7pm till 11pm since I am working in a retail and I closes the store at night. That's when I realized, my reason for getting a second job is totally wrong! I realized that I'm like living just to work and not working to live. So I asked my boss in my second job, since they're cutting hours here, for me to just work on Saturdays. It made a difference in my life. Right now, at least I have more free time for my family and free time to hang out with friends. Personally, I learned that if I want another job in the future, making more money would be my second thing that I could consider. I will take the job if I really wanted it not because I just want to make more money. Goodluck cha and happy mylotting!

thats the negative out come of having 2 jobs, as you work all day long and night so you dont have time for family and friends, thats what i worried about if i can do it, but i will try it anyway just to see how it goes for me. thanks.

I think as long as you can balance the time and you enjoy having two sources of income, then it's okay. As for me, I only have one regular job, but I have some jobs on the side that come along the way, but not regularly. At least the sideline job helps me earn a bit more than usual. You can try to see if you're comfortable with juggling two jobs and if your body can handle it. Good luck to you!

I tried 2 full time jobs before and I can't take it. It's like 16 hrs a day and have to use bus because I don't drive. so over all it's more than 16 hrs. the money isn't good either, one job pays 10 bucks/hr and the other 7/hr. pretty much I don't bring a lot of additional money home anyway so I quit the lowest pay one. if the two jobs pay you good, maybe you can try it. if you drive then it doesn't take long to get there and back home. plus if your second job is only part time you still have time to rest.

I don't know how you "plan to see what happens" because applying for a job, getting accepted and actually working would take a lot of effort and I think you should spare yourself that stress if you really don't think it will work out :) If you're already working on a fulltime job, a second job would be tough to handle - you'll be too tired to be as productive as they expect you to be. And you might lose quality time for yourself and your loved ones :) I hope that everything works well for you! Thanks for the response on my discussion!

It's worth a shot, isn't it? You'll never really know if you can handle it or will enjoy it if you don't try it. You can always quit it or cut down on hours if you don't like it. I think it sounds like a good opportunity to make some extra money and maybe even put it into savings or work off a debt (if you have one). I've had 2 part time jobs in the past (last summer - when I was out of school), and I pretty much worked from 8am - 1pm and then 3pm - 8pm, and it really wasn't bad! I actually enjoyed being busy and saved up a couple thousand dollars (which I'm now putting towards tuition!). It wasn't really overwhelming per say, although sometimes I would be jealous of my friends who didn't even have to work ONE job; and I didn't have too much of a social life because I always had to wake up early the next morning for work. Another complaint was that it was kind of hard to negotiate hours with some of my bosses; some of them wanted me to have more flexible hours or even work overtime - and I couldn't, because I had to work another shift at a different company straight afterwards. But if you can find an opening, and you can find one with flexible hours that won't conflict with your other job - then why not try it out? Good luck!

I have a part time job on the weekends. I work full time during the week. the 2nd job is much easier. I do concierge work at a retirement home but I am very tired all the time. I never have a day all to myself but i need the money and the money is what is important right now. best of luck to you with your 2nd job.

i work one job outside of the house and one inside. i sell stuff on ebay plus i work in an office part time (as well as work on mylot.) balancing a couple of jobs is not easy but it can be done with lots of planning! especially if you are young, you have way more energy to be able to work two jobs.

Hello friend. I have a regular and busy job, so I don't want to work two jobs unless it is well paid. I am a teacher and some parents invite me to tutor their kids. Though I will be paid for my extra work, I still prefer my spare time doing whatever I like, at least it is my current thought. Who knows if I will change that thought some day if I do need a lot of money for something rather expensive or what. I wish you to enjoy your second job, friend.

Its good having two jobs as long as your time permits and also know your body if it can manage working for longer hours. I manage two business and it gets tiring but its worth it. As long as your happy with what your doing then go for it.

Well, first I really respect people who have enough energy to do two works. I know they have their own reason to do that, maybe they need more money or more various experiences. But as to me, I prefer keep a regular job longer. You know if you put all of your energy on one job, it maybe be done well and you could get promotion and earn a high salary. Anyway, everyone has his/her own life way. Maybe you should try it to ensure whether you can adapt yourself to two jobs. Good luck!

I used to do two jobs, since i need money .I did two part-time .so the boss didn t care how many jobs i do. But you need to remember that you should be very careful ,better not overuse youself,or you won't keep it very long. And do two jobs seriously.

Nice to work with an extra job. That's considered 2 jobs. Why? Mainly job is the source of your income, extra job is just your part time. So do I, I'll finished working for 4pm then I'm still working for a part time job after teaching. I had my tuturial students want to learn more...then well we are not wasting time if we love it.
