Hello my friend. I must say that i have seen the moon during the day many times, and not just early in the morning, but also in the afternoon.
I see that i have responded to quite a few topics, and i would appreciate it if you'd check my topics as well - who knows, perhaps you will find something worth responding ;)
I wonder if the moon would be visible during an evening eclipse of the sun ...

It is visible, though what you well see is just a black circle in the sky. specially if it is full moon, what's difficult to see is the sun during an eclipse.

Hello Kd. The first time I noticed this was some years ago, and I too was very excited! Now, even though I've seen the moon many times in daylight, it still gives me a thrill. I just plain enjoy everything that goes on in the sky. The picture you posted is beautiful.

Well its a normal thing to see a moon in that time of the day. The moon was just about to set when you saw it. Well it is kind of nice thou if you are seeing it for the first time u know.
Well as for me i have seen it times several times without even noticing whether its strange or not.
Its nothing ok.
Just imagine if a sun starts shinning at midnight what would people say.

Very cool :) We see a lot of this in the winter time up here in Alaska. Right now we barely see the moon because it stays light til nearly midnight. But the days are getting progressively shorter now so pretty soon the moon will be visible from about 3pm on...and pretty soon after that it will be getting darker earlier..and earlier..until sunset starts at about 3pm. (Then it starts all over with the days getting longer by a few seconds to a minute per day up until the next June 21st).

This reminds me of a "toast" I received during the last day in my college given by my juniors. I used to be a "known" person in my college due to my active participation in drawing and painting competitions. This is the dig I received on this subject during the toast:
Two friends were reportedly gazing at a painting that I had exhibited in the competition. It depicted an orange tanned sky with an assortment of cloud shapes. One friend reportedly asked the other: "Has CV drawn the sunrise or sunset here?".
The other one replied. "It is sunset, obviously".
"How do you know?"
"As far as I know, CV has never ever woken up to see a sun rise!"

I have seen the moon lots of times during the day! So not unusual for me... My favorite thing in the early morning hours or right at sunset is to go out and see the planet Venus... I learned when I lived in Virginia how to spot it... I look across the horizon and it looks like a bright star but it is the suns light reflecting off of venus' light colorede surface! I always thought it was so cool that this was a planet you could see without the aid of a telescope!

I think the moon does not replaced the sun.
If the sun rises in the morning the moon is in the opposite
side or else above the sun depending on the quarter.
Yes thats really nice and cute to see both moon and sun
in a day.

It's really nice to see the Moon in the morning and think about it, I mean we can think that there is not the Sun in the day on, but there are many celestial bodies out there on the day on, and maybe we could spend some time thinking about life in other places just thinking about how many stars we have on universe.
The Moon is for sure a nice place to put your thoughts.
