You all know that I've been behind Kris Allen from the very beginning of the American Idol Season. There are many reasons. One, he's from Arkansas and so am I. Two, we have mutual friends and I know what kind of man he really is outside of his music. Three, I love that he stands up for who he is and refuses to back down. Let me explain
He is a Christian and has been very open about his faith. He isn't flashy and outspoken. When Simon berated him about how laid back and humble he was, he just shrugged it off. Someone questioned him about it when he was home in Arkansas last week and he replied that he still felt like he was blessed to be where he was and he wasn't going to change that opinion just because Simon felt like he'd "Had enough of Mr. Humble"
I voted for him tonight after two unbelievably great performances. I don't understand why the judges are pushing Adam so hard. I admit, he has a good voice, but so do the other two who are left in the top 3.
I can tell you this. I will be standing in line to get the first Kris Allen CD when it's released. I won't buy one from Adam. I just do not like him.
Is anyone else noticing the bias of the judges? Was anyone else turned off tonight with all the screaming that Adam did?
What do you think of Kris and Danny? No one expected these two to be in the top 3.

I'm sorry, but I don't consider myself no one. I've said all along that Adam would be #1, Danny #2 Kris or Allison #3. Kris was as shocked as anyone when Allison was sent home. I think Kris has the ability to be the #1 Idol, but I don't always see the heart to make it. He has a great voice & he is talented, but he is NOT consistent in his abilities. The ONLY thing wrong with Adam is that you don't like him!!! I find him to be the ultimate performer & he has a range that is unbelievable!!! Unlike you, I will buy Adam's first CD & I will also buy Kris' first CD. I've bought every song Adam has done off iTunes & most of Kris' songs. There were a few that were so lousy that they just weren't worth $0.99. The best thing about Idol is that it really doesn't matter who wins,...ALL exposed have a chance at a contract. Just because Kris doesn't win the season doesn't mean he won't have a chance to make it BIG!!! He's cute as a button, he come across as a little shy & the women LOVE him!!! I'd love to see an Adam/Allison reunion with those 2 pairing up as a duet team....kinda like Sonny & Cher. I found those two to have the most perfect charisma!!!

If you go back and look at all the press that everyone was giving the contestants at the beginning of the season, everyone was predicting Kris and Danny would go home way before now! Every time we logged onto IdolDial, it had these two picked in the bottom two! That's what I meant by that statement.
It's a matter of preference. You're right. I don't like the kind of music that Adam does. That doesn't mean he's not a good singer. I just don't care for him! And I think I said that! :)

Having a mind of my own, I've NEVER relied on the opinion of the press!!!
Next week will be interesting. There was only 1 million votes difference between Adam & Kris. 1 million our of 88 million is a drop in the bucket!!!

Personally, I have had a hard time choosing my votes this year on Idol. I love Adam and I would be the first one in line for his album. These guys are multitalented and all three of them will have a job in the music industry as soon as the show is off.
Personally, I am surprised that Kris has made it this far,but I do like him. I am not sure of what it is about him but I feel that he has made the most improvement of all of the contestants this year.
Danny is good but I don't think that Danny is the best vocally on the show. He has many venues of music that he can sing and he has a great voice,but I don't think that he is the best.
The judges have always thought that Adam was a forerunner in the show and I think that based on overall talent and what will sell the most albums,they are picking Adam.

I think that's why I am so pleased that Kris is in the finals, because so many are surprised that he did! He is a very talented young man and as you said, he seems to have made the most improvement this season.
I will certainly be in line to purchase Danny's first album, and I believe there will be one even though he was voted off.
I only pray that Danny's fans will go to Kris' side!

I am tired of hearing about Adam I hate his screaming but he has a lot of fans. I have been a Kris Allen Fan since the first time I noticed him or before he got voted to be in the top 13. I voted for him to be in the top 13 as a matter of fact. I am so happy that Kris has mad it so far. I am glad that he has a christian faith. That makes me like him even more know reading this. I am also aggervated at Simion the way he has cut Kris down. I hope Kris at least makes the top 2 tonight to me he deserves to win. I know as soon as his album comes out I will buy it.

Did you see the finale? When they announced that Kris was the winner, Paula, Kara and Randy all stood up and gave him a standing ovation and they were clapping and cheering for him, just as the other 13 contestants did. Adam was very gracious and very professional about the whole thing. (Kudos for him)
Simon however just sat there. I think he was in shock~!

I to am turned off by Adam's screaming. I would never buy any of his records. I would laugh my butt off if he was voted off by America after the judges sang his praises over and over again.
They seem to forget he was in the bottom two that one week. I also thought the comment that he was the best talent to ever grace the stage was an insult to past idol winners.
I thought Kris's performances tonight was superb. I voted for both him and Danny because I couldn't decide.

I would love to see him go, but I fear there are just too many that still like him. I don't understand it myself. It certainly couldn't be his appearance that makes the girls like him. The man wears more make up than I do. And what's the deal with those huge earrings he wears?

I think I realized several weeks ago that it would probably be Danny, Kris, and Adam in the top 3, I thought Allison had a chance, but I could never decide who she would be chosen over, as the 4 of them together were really good. Adam was good last night and had the rock vibe down really good on the second song. But there is something to be said about the other 2 as well, and I loved what Chris did with that Conway West song. It shows that he has the ability to be his own guy and work the music to suit himself. The judges were pushing Adam big time last night, but I honestly can't see the finale with out him, but I also can't decide who else should be in the finals as well. Danny and Kris are both really good, and they were both really good last night. I honestly can't decide. I would buy any one of their records. I will not be disappointed no matter who goes through to the finals tonight as I believe they all belong to be there, and I am confident that all three of them have brilliant careers ahead of them.

Well, as you have seen by now, Kris did make the finals. As a Kris fan, I would like to see Danny's fans vote for him. That would be my preference, because I'm just not a rocker, and that's Adam's preference. I'm anxious to see what the two gentleman will decide to sing Tuesday night. We are having a watch party at the country club so we can watch it on the big screen television.

I have seen the performances last night and they all did a great job. I am rooting for Adam Lambert though his screaming voice annoys me sometimes. Kris Allen is great too. My wife likes Danny Gokey. I think they all deserve to be on top three. I felt sad that Allison was voted off but it's a contest, there's always a winner and a loser but i am positive that Allison would be given a wonderful break soon. She's only seventeen years old yet she can belt her lungs out. my wife and i can't wait for the result to come out. i am going home early to see who's going to be competing for the finals next week.

I suspect that she will have a cd on the shelves soon. I also think that if she'd been older, she would probably have stayed through till the finals. I think her age really hurt her. I know that Carrie Underwood wasn't much older than Allison, but their voices were totally different too. But I don't think her age is going to keep her from succeeding in the music industry.

Well if you can get so much attention from american watcher and got a lot of supporter then you ve got a lot of votes and will bring you to the next step. It's all like this isn't it ?

Yea, it is like that. I'm watching the finale now, and they're getting ready to crown the winner. It has been a great night with all the contestants singing with established musicians including rockers, country artists and even some surprises like comedian Steve Martin

I would love to see Kris and Danny be the top two! I think that both of them have better voices than Adam. Adam screams too much when he sings. I am not a huge fan of his rock image. Kris and Danny are both wonderful singers and both seem very humble. I like that about them. I just watched the show this morning, so was unable to vote!! I would have voted for both Kris and Danny many times in hopes that everyone else does this just to outvote Adam.

I would have loved to see these two in the top 2, but with Adam being in the top 2 with Kris, I now hope that Danny's friends will all vote for Kris. I know there are going to be some here in Central Arkansas that were huge Danny fans that have said they won't vote for Adam. I know there are so many that love him, but I just don't care for his style of music.

I really like Kris Allen because of his demeanor... not matter what the judges say about him... i think he deserves to be in the top 2... he has got the talent, charisma, and looks... and he is so likable... i have nothing against the two other contestants... but the way the judges set that bias thing is really getting into my nerve... it was like a waste of time going though the 13 finalist if they already set their minds on who should be in the top 2...

Well, I agree with that. I was so tickled that he made it to the Finals. SOOOO excited. My daughter and I went to see him when he came home to Arkansas the week before the finale. It was so exciting! To see one of our own with all those cameras following him around!

Each week I have learned to respect Kris more and more. He has such a talent. I just read the latest issue of TV Guide and learned more about him. I was so impressed with his singing last nite, especially his second song.
I thought most of the season the final two would be Adam and Danny, but I honestly think it is going to be Adam and Kris.

And you would be right! LOL I am surprised that you didn't hear me yelling all the way at your house. When they announced that Kris was going to be the top two, my daughter and I went balistic. We were jumping up and down, screaming and shouting!

Thanks carpenter5 for the background info on Kris Allen. Although all three are talented in their own way ... I definitely prefer the style and tonal characteristics of Kris Allen's voice. And it would be an easy decision for a CD purchase between the three ....Kris Allen,without any hesitation! I agree, his voice alone should be judged on its own merit. Yes, the judges definitely seem to have been attempting to swing the vote towards Adam. So, are people going to vote for the judges "chosen one" (who they believe America deserves) or will voters use their own ears to make their decisions? Yes, Adam's screaming and vocal gymnastics are getting tiresome. Kris and Danny deserve to be in the finals.

Last Thursday evening, as I was driving home from school, I flipped channels on the radio in my truck and they were playing a Kris Allen song! I was so excited to hear him on the radio. Then today, at two different times I heard one of his performances from AI, including the duet he did with Danny....Styx's Renegade!

Well, I guess you realize by now that Kris is now the new American Idol. Arkansas is so excited. There are fireworks going off, teenaged girls are dancing on the sidewalks of our apartment complex. I have sat here on my couch and just bawled like a little baby because I'm sooo proud of him!

Actually, when Danny and Allison made it to the top 36, I knew they would be in the top 3 with Adam. Last week was amazing. I was sad, and very surprised, to see Allison go but in recent weeks Kris has really stolen my heart (starting with being, I think, the first contestant ever to sing an indie song with Falling Slowly). Until then Danny was my favorite. I still like the gravely tone of Danny's voice but I love the artistic liberties Kris has been taking.
Adam has been a bore to me for weeks. The only song that he has sung that I have really enjoyed was Mad World. Tonight's performance, Cryin', was actually not his best performance because he takes so many vocal cues from Steven Tyler as it is this one wasn't original.
A friend of mine made a comment and I totally agree with her...she said, Adam's already got his career in the bag. We already know some record label is going to jump on him at the end of his final show, regardless of the results, so why not split the votes between Danny and Kris? Give them a chance.
I do think the judges are not being objective when it comes to Adam. What really bugs me is that Kara hated his audition. She said absolutely not to sending him to Hollywood and that he was too theatrical, and now that is what she loves about him.

I didn't see his audition. What I didn't know until I was watching the pre-finale press conference online yesterday morning is that Adam was in Wicked! I love that musical! Kristen is looking for her playbill from when they went to Memphis to see the play to see if Adam was with them then.
