Sometimes my brain works funny

I just wrote a new discussion and as the computer popped it up to the page where it was posted, I happened to notice that the number beside my name was 1492.
Immediately, the poem that I learned in Elementary School about Christopher Columbus popped into my head.
Did you ever learn this one?

My brain works funny sometimes. I know this poem was so random, but I couldn't help it. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

lol oh yes my mind gets crazy as well, sometimes i could like post discussions that are good and at times it feels like i am asleep and could not think of anything!

I sometimes will be walking through the store, or across campus and something will happen, or I'll see something that I think would make a really good discussion on mylot. The problem is having time or remembering what it is by the time I get home.

Yes, it certainly is. The brain is a very complex organ that is always evolving and always changing and growing. Sometimes, I think that I've forgotten something and I will see a person and it will instantly bring the thought to mind. And I'll ahve to think...how in the world do I KNOW that?

Yes, that happens to me a lot. A hole will come open in my memory and out of it will spill some very strange things or songs from my childhood.

Isn't it funny, how we can often remember things like this for years after we don't really need them anymore, but we can't remember why we are in the grocery store from the time it takes to drive 200 yards from my apartment complex to Target? I went in last night and spent $50 and didn't get home with Milk...which is what I went over there for!

That's totally cute! My brain works simultaneously at conspicuous times and sometimes it just gives me this radar or signal that it needs to pump and work but I am just wanting to laze around. I feel that whenever I'm in the mood to do work, my body wants to rest and when I want to my mind to rest, my body is at work. LOL. I like funny posts like this. Keep it up.

Sometimes my brain doesn't work at all...LOL Kind of like today, when I'm supposed to be reading for my summer research project, but I can't concentrate on non-profit business plans and after reading the same paragraph 3 times and it still not making sense, I quit for awhile.

LOL..the only time I could relate to that would be during my past exams. Man...I kept on reading the formulas, writing the steps down on paper and trying out the questions and still I'm back to Square 1. And when reading summaries and notes, I look at the words, and the words at me. Ha...

Yeah, that kind of weird stuff happens to me all the time when various random nunbers that can be associated with something like that pop up in my day to day life. Of course with people of many different cultures represented here on mylot, there are probably thousands of these stories, all with something different.

There are so many different opinions and views here on mylot.
I often am scared to read the answers to my discussions for fear of what I may read. LOL
But seriously, it seems that when I'm tired my brain doesn't function very well. I have to stop and really concentrate on what I'm trying to do.
