Hi Missrocee,
I am also a Filipina, and I had the same questions like you have right now when I was still there. But now that I'm in a foreign country, I admire our country more than before.
I usually talk to my friends online, and I envy them going to the best places there. Yes, I didn't recognize that until I only see my friends' pictures having fun in the most beautiful mountains, resorts, beaches etc. there.
I was once like you, but if ever you're gonna have a chance to go outside our country, you would see the same thing that I am seeing now.
Even though the Philippines has a lot of problems, but you'll appreciate it more once your out of it. I miss the country.
Welcome to mylot and happy mylotting.

Everything in the Philippines...the hospitable citizens, the breathtaking scenery, the location, the language and all. Our country is irresistible on it its own. No wonder why we, and foreigners alike are so much captivated of how beautiful this country is.

Except for the unscrupulous politicians who contribute to proliferating inequality in our society, the Philippines can take pride for its rich natural resources and cultural heritage. Filipinos are generally hardworking, friendly, smart, and resilient/flexible. What we lack (perhaps) is a sense of nationalism.

1. They might be looking for some sun because it's too cold on their area. Beach lovers do that.
2. Hospitality. Filipinos are very hospitable on their visitors. They/We took care of them well. Even serve them some food or snacks to eat.
3. Cheap cost of living. Compare to their country, Philippines has a very cheap cost of living and leisure.
4. Natural Resources. Foreigners loved to see the nature of the tropical country. Their main goal here is to go to Palawan to visit it's scenery.
5. Beautiful Women.. No need to elaborate more

I'm an Indian and yes, I have heard a lot of things about Philipines. My aunt works there and she admires the place. She likes the scenarios and flower beds. She goes for a tour very often. The mountains and everything.
She says I will love it when I see it. But unfortunately I never got an oppurtunity.
Regards,
AJ.
