OK the other day when we went to go grocery shopping I founds banana's on sale for 25 cents a pound which is a steal where we live. so I bought about 3 pounds. The thing is, they were on sale because they are going bad. So now I want to make something with banana's, so this is where you all come in at. Do you have any kind of good recipe's for banana's? I know I want to make banana bread but I of course don't have a recipe for that either. Also they would have to be recipe's without nuts please.
Thanks ahead of time.

I have a great Banana bread recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening - however I use butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 cup of mashed ripe bananas
1 tsp of lemon juice
2 cups of sifted flour
3 tsps of baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
Cream shortening or butter with sugar together. Beat egss until light and add.
Press bananas through sieve however I just blend in a blender and add lemon juice.
Blend with cream mixture. Then in another bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt together and mix quickly into banana mixture. Bake in greased loaf pan in oven at 375 for about 45 minutes or till toothpick comes out clean Enjoy!

I've found that the old betty crocker and church cookbooks have the best recipes for when you need to use something up like bananas. I just recently had some dark bananas and I found a recipe for a quick banana cake that was amazing. It was basically just a coffee cake with bananas added to the batter.

Well, my mom used to cook banana cake. It is delicious. Her banana cake has no nuts on it. I need to ask first my mom about her recipe. If it is secret, you can just browse on the net about banana cake, I am sure there is such recipe available in the web.

You can have bananas for desert. Put a bit of butter and sugar in a skillet and let it melt into a light syrup. Then toss in some cut bananas and coat them well till they are heated all the way through. Get some ice cream and top it off with the bananas!! YUM

I will so have to get some icecream and have that for dessert. It sounds really good. Fried banana's on top of ice cream seems like such a good past time treat.

My favorite was always banana bread with chocolate chips! Mom always let us eat it for breakfast!
You could make some banana smoothies. Maybe add in some other fruit too. Those would freeze pretty well so you could eat them later too.
You could also make fried bananas. Im not sure how to make them, but I have had them at restaurants before and they are quite tasty.
Sorry I couldnt be more help, this is definitely a hard one. Good luck!
