First let me say by independent I mean health insurance not through a job. My fiance and I are going to be married soon and neither of us have health insurance, if you live in the USA or know of health insurance companies that are inexpensive could you do me a favor and post a link and all you know about the company.
If you've worked for or have insurance from the company, I'd greatly appreciate any input at all, good or bad, on the company. Any wise knowledge about health insurance, I'd greatly appreciate.
Remember, US companies only.

This is a really good discussion and I am sure that a lot of people have different opinions when it comes to health insurance,I am sure that some people prefer to get health insurance through a company, and then I am sure that some people probably prefer to get health insurance independently instead of through a company, and I know that we will be married soon and neither of us have health insurance at this moment and maybe a lot of people will respond with some quality filled responses where they give you links with information about some cheaper insurance companies,or even which companies to avoid because we want to get insurance that does not cost an arm and a leg, because we will need insurance after we are married, and I know we are not sure where to look, and I know we will greatly appreciate all responses that you get,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I know that we are both clueless when it comes to insurance and that we both will probably be getting insurance through an independent company instead of through work unless wal*mart hires you. Or if I apply they hire me. I think though that we do need to get as much information on every company as we can so we know that we are going with the right one. I love you with all of my heart and soul!

I actually work at a Health Insurance agency in Florida. You want to stay away from discount plans and mini medical plans. Also the rates are all depending on zipcode, ages, height and weight, and whether or not either you and your wife have any pre-existing medical conditions. If you need any information you can call 1-866-488-5200.

I am the fiance (woman), but that's okay I know my username if at first glance can be mistake for cowboy instead of girl. I appreciate the information you have given me, I'm not quite sure what all that means but I hope to get as much information as possible. If need be, I'll keep that number in mind. Is the insurance agency you work for available nationwide? I live in the south, a few states above you.

Check out Assurant Health. They have many plans that fit most peoples needs. I think they might have changed the name recently, but you should be able to find out info by searching for Assurant Health. I have used the company and the costs were the lowest for the amount of coverage.

I believe that was the name of the company I had seen on commercial before and was trying to remember the name of just now. I appreciate the response, I'll surely check it out to see if it's something that my fiance and I would be interested in. Have a great day!
