Yes gardening does require lots of water during summer. This is the time I put out lots of flower beds for the season.I have a fairly large garden. The water shortage was pretty bad. This was first year I saw my lawn becoming brown.I was struggling to keep the garden looking good.I usually participate in the flower show competitions. We normally have summer showers which saves us from watering but this year the season simply failed.Luckily we just had a few showers recently that really solved my problems.we do keep watering them with a big hose, but nothing is as good as having the rain.So that saved me.My lawn regained its color and the whole garden looked very plush before the judges came.

Well I dont have any garden as such, only a few potted plants and they seem to be all the more harder to grow in this heat coz they get so little water from the limited soil. I water them in the morning regularly but by evening they are surely parched and a little wilted. But that's all right, they are cooled by the evening breeze and I water them in the mornind and they are OK.

I am not currently gardening but it is true that you have to water more than once a day when it gets so hot.

I worry that I will not be home enough to water and care for them.

Hm...i do not know much about gardening. I just know that plants need water, sun light and suitbale soil for it to grow healthily. I do not have garden at my house but i'd like to have one if i can, haha. I can feel the calm and peace when i look at green plants and trees. Hopefully in future i'll have my own house with beautiful garden and full of various plants.
