When it comes to cakes do you bake from scratch, bake from mix, or go to bakery

Well it depends, if I'm being lazy I use the mix but if I feel like beating the crap out of somthing or having fresh scrumptious cake I make it from scratch.

i usually use a mix because it is the cheapest laziest way to go and usually not too messy, sometimes I add extra ingredients though to make it seem more homemade. It would have to be something super special for me to make a cake from scratch. I tried it onece about a year ago and it turned out to be pretty much of a disaster. I had homemade carrot cake once that was super delcious. I wish I could mke a cake that good.

Call me old fashioned, but I bake from scratch, just like my mother and grandmother taught me. I like to give my family the best, and I like to be able to control what goes into my baking or cooking, so I mostly do everything from scratch. It's not only cheaper, but tastier!

I am a cook in a retirement home, and I bake cakes from scratch depending on what I am making. I also sometimes use boxed cake mixes. At home when I make a cake it is from scratch. I love baking alot of things from scratch because the flavor is just so wonderful.

My absolute favorite kind of cake is from the bakery. But, my husband likes cake from mixes. I have also been known to make a cake from scratch from time to time. I really like baking. It is one of my favorite things to do. But, I also enjoy a cake from the bakery sometimes!

if i fancy a massive sugar rush ill go to the bakery. if i feel lazy i use a mix (very rarely do it). 9 times out of 10 tho i prefer to make it from scratch like my nan taught me and its great for my boys to watch and learn

I use mixes for cakes, but then I add my own extra stuff, like shredded carrots, flax seed meal, etc. I do make brownies from scratch, though.

I prefer to bake my own cakes since my husband would expect no less!!! I love baking actually, i think my cakes taste better than the shop bought ones and it makes me proud that i'd made them myself. Of course the Be-Ro recipes do help greatly when cake baking!

I use a mix. I live by myself and I find if I buy all the ingredience that they usually get old before I can use them up. In fact as of late I buy the little mix at the dollar store where you get 12 cupcakes out of it....and that's just about right for me to share with my son and his family and have a few for myself.

Bakery, I don't have the patients to bake for hours. I always say, "Let a professional do it or let an amature ruin it."
