Danny Gokey is OUT of the Competition

Danny was my choice for Idol as well. I was really shocked that he was voted off considering he has never been in the bottom three and both adam and Kris have. I think they are all talented and I knew it was going to be a close call this year. My choice for Idol now is Kris. Nothing against Adam i'm just not into rock music. However I am pretty certain that Adam will win though as I think alot of America is rooting for him. We will just have to wait and see. Hope to see a CD out from Danny in the future. I will definitely buy.

I was really surprised of what happened as well. I'm not a Danny fan but I really thought that he will be in the finale especially since he hasn't been in the bottom before. I didn't realize that Kris has a really huge support from fans. I'm a big Adam fan from the beginning and I really thought it will be him and Danny who will fight for the title.

I did figure he would be the one to go. But at this point, I feel they all have potential careers so it doesnt really matter who wins now. Personally I wanted a sing-off between Adam and Allison. But sadly they let her go earlier. That was a shocker for me. I think it would have made a spectacular final show to have Adam and Allison compete for Idol. I think it would have been a very emtional show too..Oh well, cant win em all!

I was shocked as well that Danny didn't make it to the top 2. I like Kris, really, he has a great voice and I do enjoy his music, however I was quite convinced that Danny and Adam would be the last two up for the finals. And before Allison was voted off I thought that the last 3 would be Adam and Danny and Allison. However, which of those 3 would be American Idol in the end I was not too sure on in my head. I've been voting for Danny since the beginning, though, and was quite bummed that he's off, but I do wish luck to Adam and Kris now. I myself believe that Adam will win now, though, however I obviously am not entirely sure.

I believe Danny has secured his slot in the industry early on the competition. With a great talent such as he, the title isn't of that great importance. The great thing is that he earned a lot of fans and had great exposure. The real competition starts when this one ends.

My choice and has been before he was voted into the 13 American Idols is Kris Allen. Although I know Adam has a lot of fans. I just like Kris's singing better. Danny was good also. I hated to see him go. I was surprised and happy that Kris made it in the top 2. He proberly won't win. I know Adam has a lot of fans but to me Kris is the best

I was hoping that Danny would be the winner also. Now that he is out, my vote is for Kris. I like him better than Adam. I think that Danny will continue with his music and will go far with his career.

i'm so disappointed that danny got eliminated! what a shocking elimination, it's crazy! was so hoping that he could be in the finals but oh well...i can't wait when he makes an album. even though he's not on idol anymore i'm sure there are plenty of opportunities waiting for him out there..let's give our support to danny gokey!

I wouldn't worry about Danny he will get to perform at the finale the 3rd runner up always does. Plus I think he will have a brilliant carreer ahead of him so you will still have an opportunity to buy his CD's I am fairly certain he will get a record contract and do really well.

i wasn't able to see it yet.but i can't believe danny is out of the competition! i would've rooted for adam or danny because i think both of them are great singers.with regards to kris,he doesn't strike me that much,except his looks.lolz! i'm kinda disappointed about the results.i would've wanted danny to be in top 2.sigh! i guess i'll be rooting for adam then. happy mylotting!

I think that the trouble is going to come from the judges. They seem to like Kris alright, but they are so gaga-retarded (pardon the expression) over Adam that I think it influences the viewers. I don't like Adam's style. He puts a lot of himself into the songs he sings, the problem is that all of that "him" he puts in sounds the same. I enjoyed his "rendition" of Tears for Fears/Gary Jules - Mad World (I include Gary Jules because he kind of blended both versions in his arrangement) but that's been it, really. Cryin' was kind of a very telling song for him, for me. He did his own thing with it but instead of sounding like an "Adam Lambert cover" it sounded like a remix of the original, done by the original, and that's what the judges chastised Lil for over and over and over again (not to say she didn't earn every word of it....but that's another discussion). But when Adam does it, it's "brilliant!!!" Danny was my favorite up until about five weeks ago. Whenever they did the film songs. I'm an indie kid so when Kris when out on that ledge with an indie song from an indie film (an indie song which, BTW, beat out three Disney songs for Best Original Song at the 2008 Academy Awards), he stole my heart. For me, he became a true contender in that moment. Not because of his song choice but because he took a huge risk that paid off in a huge way. It was through no fault on Danny's part, just Kris wowed me that night and has continued to do so and he took over the number one spot for me. I would love to see Kris win. Not because I don't like Adam but because so many people do. It doesn't matter how the votes come in next week, there will be ten different recording contracts waiting for Adam to pick from and sign, win or lose. Kris is going to see his share of romancing too, regardless of the results, but Adam's got it in the bag. He's had it since he made it into the top 36. I say vote for Kris. If you were a fan of Danny's, vote for Kris. If you were a fan of Allison's, vote for Kris. Let's turn this thing upside down!

A lot of my friends were rooting for Danny. But personally, I don't like him. Maybe the reason why he was voted off is because he does not have the appeal/charisma unlike Kris or Adam. I am rooting for Adam to win. He is my favorite and yes, he does stand out and is unique in each and every performance of his. I think Kris, on the other hand, is still there because of his looks. I don't like his voice that much too.
