I've tried reading while being sleepy and I've got to say from my experiences it's the worst thing to do. I start slurring words together, I get waves of exhaustion and I fall asleep altogether.

I do read atimes before sleeping. I 've found out that it helps relax the mind before sleep. And that any reading induced sleep is very much enjoyed.
I 'm a thriller novel addict and I can't help it when I get my hands on one..hehe..
I aslo read early in the mornings before fully waking up.

I used to always read before going to bed, growing up. But now that I'm in University, I don't always get the chance to do so. However, I do try to read before going to bed, whenever I can. I really do enjoy reading, which is why I try to read before going to bed, but I try to read as much as I can. Some days, I read more than other days. The amount of time that I spend reading depends on the day in question.

sometimes i do read before sleeping but it depends on how much i need to sleep, i dont normally read any material when the sleep is quite heavy in my eyes because i will easily sleep off and the book or piece of material may get torn, i only read if i couldnt sleep at night

I do read, 1)Bible, and 2) Sometimes a book after that. I do not get into bed and read, I finish rading then get into bed. That way I am sure that the light are off.
Reading in bed will make me fall asleep as well, especialy now in winter.
Happy reading, sweet dreams, lights off.
Blessings

I love to read before I go to sleep. My favourite is to read a fictional novel whilst I am in bed as I find that it really does help me to switch off and relax. I think the fact that I am reading fiction offers almost a sort of escape from the real world and therefore helps me to detach myself from issues which might otherwise prevent me from getting to sleep quickly.

Yes, I always read before I sleep. It is one way to make myself relax. I usually have a goodnight sleep if I read before I sleep. I usually have a lampshade beside my bed so I don't sleep with lights on. Since It is very accessible on my part,I can switch it off whenever I am done reading my book.

People differ in their reading habits. Some people read late night and some people
read early morning. i am a kind of person who used to read at late night up to 2 am
during study holidays. I would recommend you to try to wake up at 4 am and carry on
your work or study. In the early morning time, the brain grasps the information
quickly and does the work faster.

I remembered when I was ready for exams, I would like to read before going to sleep. When I feel nothing to do ,I have computer with me and do something on the internet. Now, I want to take an English test, I will try to go over the contents before going to sleep. Actually, it is a good habit to read before going to sleep. It can enhance the quality of sleep.

Yes, I do read before sleeping. But it always depends on what I read. If I read novels I like, I cannot sleep until I finish the whole book. Sometimes though when I am reading Fortune magazine or something not that interesting for me, I can be sleepy after 2 to 3 articles. When I feel I am already sleepy, I turn off the lights beside my table immediately then I go to sleep. My bedside lamp is the only light I turn on when reading before I sleep.

Hi Knightrider,
When i was in school, i usually read before i went to sleep.Because i was not allow to watch TV, and we did not have computer at home. Now that i am working, i have my own computer and lots place to go, i don't read anymore, that is a sad thing. Because reading actually is a good thing to improve the personality and inner thoughts of a person.
