I am married to the military so I know lots of military people and our friends are like family (we see them way more than our own family's) we love them.

I used to be in the military, and have many friends who were, or are still on active duty. I do not see how they would be bad news.

a lot of people say they just try to get with every girl they can, cause it doesnt matter they will be moving in a couple years anyway!

The average retention is 3-4 years for each base. The person's values determine their promiscuity level, not their choice in careers.

I believe about 10% of my family is in the military, including several cousins currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We also have several family friends serving in those two countries.

My husband was in the Army for 8 years; he just left last year on a medical discharge. We live by an Army and an Air Force base. My husband now works on the Army base teaching soldiers. I think they are like everyone else... just like I would say realtors are average people, military men and women are normal people. :)

One of my best friends was dating a marin. Unfortunetly, before he was shipped to Iraq, they decided to take a break. The stress and distance was too hard for them.
I didn't know the guy too well, but I thought he was a nice guy.
