Hi, I really can't remember when I learnt to ride a cycle, but as everyone knows, once you have learned, you'll never forget it.. What I remember is that I used to use 2 extra little wheels to help me ride better the bike, and once one of those little wheels breaks and I fall and I twisted my hand! It was very painfull but I love cycles!

I first learned cycle and then two wheeler long time after that. I had felt couple of times in the cycle while learning. I was very happy when I got my first cycle. I was in school when I got my cycle from my parents. I think I was very happy at that time.

I have been watching my husband teaching our seven year old daughter to ride her bike without training wheels and it reminded me of my dad pushing me along and letting go, and me unaware that he had actually let go, would go on pedalling for ages and then I would fall when I looked behind and saw my dad was miles away!

there is hardly anyone who has not fallen from the bicycle while learning. there used to be bicycle in our hosue. it was too big for me but i still used to drag it oout and try riding it. soon i learned how to balance it and my parents were happy to see that i was able to ride a bicycle without anybody's help. then what..? i got a brand new bicycle, it was smaller in size too.. i was happy and felt comfortable riding that one.. but the next morning i fell from my new cycle and wounded both my knees... and could not ride the cycle for a weak or so...
same was the case with a two wheeler... when i learnt i did not fall but when i got my own two wheeler i fell from it... did not get hurt but my vehicle was damaged a bit.

I dont remember the very first time I rode a bike without training wheels. I do remember learning to ride it though. Our driveway was gravel, so that wasnt an option. My parents picked the front yard instead! That way if I fell, it wasnt as hard as the road. I wouldnt end up with scraped knees - yet!
We would walk the bike up to one side of the yard. There was a little bit of a hill, so I would ride down hill. Once I got the hang of balancing, I would start to go farther and farther! It didnt take long for me to learn. I had already ridden with training wheels for a long time. All of the neighbors and my sisters were riding without training wheels, so I wanted to too!
I still enjoy riding my bike today. I hear horror stories from when people were learning so they gave up. I wouldnt have been able to go to friends houses before I got my license. Now I just enjoy it and all of the places I get to go!
Now my sister wants me to learn to ride a bike that has the special shoes. The kind that you have to clip in and out of the petals. I think I will probably fall a lot with that bike as I learn. But it will probably be worth it in the end! Just like it was when I learned to ride without training wheels.
