How many times has Pelosi changed her story on Waterboarding

First it was I wasn not briefed on enhanced interrogation techniques. Then when the reports showed she had been briefed SEVERAL TIMES (7 to be exact)she changed her story to "Well they did brief us but not about water boarding". When reports showed that was not true she changed it to "They briefed us on waterboarding but did not tell us they were using it". Once again reports showed that was not true. So then she said " I was told it was being used but they told us it was legal".
Records of the briefing do not show ANY members of the intelligence committee raising concerns about any of the enhanced interrogation techniques. But it does show them asking if "they were going far enough". So what really happened. Who knew what and when? I think Pelosi is lying. She has changed her story too many times on this issue. Do you think this will hurt Pelosi politically in the long run? Is her creditibility shot now?

Don't forget now, she Is a politician. She is supposed to lie. I wonder what her grandchildren think of her now. Heh heh, such a good role model.
It doesn't really matter what they do though, since the Federal Reserve can loan out 2 trillion dollars to folks and not be accountable to anyone. What difference does it make if they lie their heads off. They will get away with it because we cannot do anything about it. Before we even figure out what to do, they will have passed a bill to protect themselves.

the problem is Pelosi has a pretty loyal following in her district, they actually believe her and will continue to elect her. The best thing we can hope for I think is that investigations ensue, the truth is outed and she ends up stripped of her chair on the committee, perhaps even her seat as speaker, but it's doubt full her party would do that, you might get a few moderate votes, but probably not enough.

They may not publicly abandon her now. But they may just queitly back someone else in the next election. That is what I would like to see. If the party is smart, they are already looking at possibly running someone against her in a primary.

Are you implying that Pelosi is somehow dishonest? That woman is a pillar of virtue who has dedicated her life to the pursuit of truth and accountability in the house.
"Do you think this will hurt Pelosi politically in the long run? Is her creditibility shot now?"
Yes and yes. I think her career is in its final term. She'll expire along with Chris Dodd. Harry Reid has been able to stay off the radar so he'll likely continue to skate by as with Barney Frank despite complete incompetence.
On a side note, isn't House Intelligence Committee an oxymoron?

Oh a HUGE oxymoron. Especially consider who is on it and how they are handling things.
I hope this is her last term up there. For her and Dodd and a bunch of other on both sides of the isle.

Wow, she is really wiggling like a fish on the hook. It's obvious she is lying and trying to cover up her involvement. Unfortunately, it's very doubtful it will hurt her politically. At least not now. An opponent might pick it up when she comes up for re-election. But then it has to be hammered home to the voters. It's tricky. And it still might not hurt her overall credibility. Politicians get away with too much.

THey get away with WAY TOO MUCH. I hope she gets her butt kicked in the next election. I would love to see her out of washington. She is the poster child for what is WRONG with our politicans.

I agree. But they won't do it. Not with the dems having majority.

I know it's unlikely to happen while her cronies have the majority, but censure and (possibly) expulsion seem appropriate avenues to look into for her lies.

Just like they will bail out California AGAIN. They have to, California is too many electoral votes for them.
Lol, I wonder if Obama will take her aside and tell her to "shut the f up"...
