I love horses. I like being around them watching them and there actions. Do you like horse back riding? I use to take care of 20 horses on a farm. And we traveled with them to the fairs so people could ride them. I think some of them have very bad tempers because they way they were treated by other owners they had. Race horses I worked with. But the horses at times are so strung out after the races. When I first started working for owners that raced horses. One guy i worked for one of his horses raced that day and he was winning. He came around the last corner to go in and broke his lower part of his leg. He kept trying to get up but couldn't. They had to put him down. I sad when that happened.

I think horses are very beautiful. Some can be very calm minded some aren't. I think it just depends on how they have been treated. You know what the funny thing is my kids know how to ride horses and I have always worked with horses but I have never rode on a horse by myself. I was always to afraid to even though in my heart I wanted to ride. I have seen horses that I have wanted to take home with me because I have seen them miss treated. I want to buy a piece of land so I can get a horse to put in the field so he or she can run like he or she wants to.

That sounds really gentle and nice. I believe horses are suppoesed to run free, but also beeing at the same time able to work with humans and they are willing to do so if they are threated correctly.

I absolutely LOVE horses. I could ride them forever, talk about them forever, and even just watch them forever. I ride at a local barn, and I go there at least once a day (or try to at least). I've known many horses in my life, and have rode some fabulous horses, and not so fabulous horses. From a horse that reared, and bucked, to a horse that didn't shy at the loudest noise in the woods. To a horse that i rode for fun, or to a horse that I showed at Twilight shows. I took care of an Arabian Gelding a few years back 'cause the owner couldn't get out during the week 'cause of her job. So I would go out there, feed him, groom him and made sure he had water. He was also the first horse I rode bareback with just a halter and lead. Then the one day came to when his owner told me that they were moving. I live in Michigan, and I thought they were just moving him to a different place. No.. They were moving to Colorado.. The owner left earlier to start her new job, and left me in charge of Tahiti (the horse) until the shippers would come and get him. I had to load him into the trailer, and say goodbye to him. It was the hardest I've ever had to live through. It was really sweet when I was in his stall before they came, and I gave him a hug around his neck and he lowered his head on my back and just stayed there. He was the sweetest horse I've ever known, and I will never forget him. :')

I love being around horses to. I think horses are very beautiful animal. I use to take care of over 20 horses everyday. It was my favorite thing to do. I use to work for a guy at a race track and one of his horses hated him. He could get her out of her stall but she would not go back in her stall for him. He had to come get me all the time to get her in her stall. Because its the way you treat them. She would go in her stall for me anytime. You know why? Because every day about 5am in the morning I would go in her stall as she was laying down and I would sit beside her and talk to her and pet her and spend a lot of time with her. He just wanted money when he made them race. I always new when she was going to win or lose. He never listened to me on that and found out the hard way. I told him not to bet on her because she wasn't ready and she wasn't. And she lost. But next time he sent her out I told him she was ready and she won all the way. Arabian horses are beautiful. It gets hard on you when you get close to a horse and it gets taken away. I felt the same way you did when I couldn't see the horse from the race track anymore.

Hi strawberrybaby
I too like horses and especially ponies. They are too active and looks elegant. Steeds looks majectic and royal. But I feel sad for the Race Horses as so long as it is active and winning it will be given a royal treatment but once it becomes crippled and unfit for racing it will be put to sleep as it can not be used for any other purpose

I love horses as well. I love the smell, the sound, everything about them. I used to work on an Arabian Breeding farm and loved every minute of being a stable hand. All day we used to have to walk, two horses at a time, to their pasture and then back again at night. While they were out we had to muck out their stalls. While other stable hands were just doing it for a job, I loved every minute.
