This saturday....May 16 at 10:00 a.m. my son will be graduating from Concordia University in St. Paul Minnesota!! Woo Hoo....ten years ago he was a full blown drug addict, high school drop out...living his whole life on the edge! I can't even express to you what I'll be feeling as he walks across the stage to get his dipolma! I just wanted to share with all of you what is possible when someone says, "I can"! There is hope even in the darkest hours of a person's life to overcome obstacles and exceed toward a fruitful and fullfilling life! Congrats my dear son!!!!!!

Congratulations to your son and to yourself for sticking with it and pushing him. I know a lot of people that just gave up. I wish I could have gave the joy to my parents to see me walk across the stage for high school. I graduated but I just didnt wanna go to my graduation. So I am trying to go back to college so I can graduate and have my parents watch me!

We had a wonderful time...friday night we just hung out at the hotel and went swimming....sat. morning we all went to breakfast then the ceremony....the out to lunch at Olive Garden then on to the mall of america! We had cake back at the motel before we spent the rest of the night at the pool..Sunday morning I had to take my daughter back to the airport and we headed home.....it was a very emotional weekend...but I am so very proud of him!

Congrats to him, I know you must be really proud of his accomplishments, as you should be. It's great that he overcame all of that and is now heading for a great future. There are plenty that should look to him as a role model.

Many congratulations to your son for this wonderful achievemnet. I can understand your pride in what he has accomplished. However, don't you think that you deserve some credit too? I am sure that he was able to overcome his addiction with your help too. There is hope for everyone. May your son continue on this path and may he experience great peace in his life.

That is so awesome! Congrats to your son for his achievement!! It isn't easy for someone to turn themselves around and overcome lifestyle choices like that. It is a tribute to his character that he was able to pick himself up, dust himself off and start fresh like that. What an awesome gentleman!! :) I guess you taught him something, huh? :)
I'm so happy for the both of you!!

many congratulations to your son and to you for standing by him to get him to this point after so much downside in his life. It is truly wonderful. You might tell him I am very disappointed in him though - he could have graduated one day later - my birthday. ( Just joking). I hope he goes on from here and becomes the success in life that you want him to be and that he has worked hard for. What does he plan to do.

I'm very happy for you and your son. It's not easy for you to have such a happy moment, I think, you must have gone through a lot of hardship. You are great parents, your son is also great. This gives anyone courage and hope to encounter anything.
