Have you ever been here in our province? Have you visited the volcano? Tried suman, calamay, etc.? Swim in the beaches of Laiya and Nasugbu? Hiked in Mount Maculot? Viewed ancestral houses in Balayan, Taal? Crossed the port en rout to Isla Verde? Encounter beautiful women that only our province can offer? Or yet, haven't? You should try though. By the way, I'm not a tour guide. I have just managed to visit all the places in the province.

Well I too have been there. I have been to Nasugbu, Laiya, Tagaytay, Bauan Batangas myself. I have not explored the whole province. Being the nearest province in Manila I guess I almost always passed through that province every now and then since my province is in Bicol so everytime I go home I pass through that province.

Opps I wonder how Tagaytay was inserted in there. I stand corrected by my post. Tagaytay is not supposed to be in that list.

But Tagaytay is not a town of Batangas. It's a city in Cavite.

Yes, a number of times. I've been to Nasugbu (great beaches they have there), Lian (famous for Matabungkay beach,) Lemery, Taal (lake and volcano are marvelous; I even went to the top of Taal church), Tanauan (I can see the horizon...heheh), and Batangas City. I remember buying this extra large "panuchang mani" (caramelized peanut) at the Batangas sea port (when I arrived from my visit to Mindoro). I also remember visiting Arañez Farms (commercial feedlot cattle) in Tanauan(?) owned by the late Gerry Arañez many years ago. Batangas is just adjacent to Tagaytay (Cavite) so you can easily make a side trip.

You are from Batangas and you failed to mentioned the famous Batangas coffee and the Batangas knife? . And you should have emphasized that Taal Volcano is not in Tagaytay City. I have been in the province several times. There are beautiful places to visit there and lots of things to learn. I do think that aside from the beautiful sceneries, the province is an one of the active player in our nation's history. I do think it will be great if Gov. Vi will commission her tourism guys to incorporate the Batangas' history in their tourism programs.

i strongly agree. Batangas has so much to offer. They have beautiful sceneries, people, and exports. I like that it's just hours away from the city. Accessible and practical to enjoy a weekend getaway with friends and family.

Yes, I've been to Batangas. My family has an ancestral house there. I spend a lot of weekends with friends either in Calatagan or in Nasugbu -- they have the nearest + exclusive beaches, just a two-hour drive from Alabang.

I've been there but not really stayed that long.. Is Tagaytay a boundary of Cavite and Batangas? We went there just for joyriding.. Anyway, I really wanted to go there because I wanted to try wakeboarding there which I think is 10ft deep (deeper than in Cam Sur) may I ask, do you know that place?

yes, countless times since my mother's side of the family resides there. But I never had the chance to fully explore the area. Batangas is a really big municipality. My relatives are just from Tanauan (not that far from Manila) but I've already visited Laiya, Mabini, Lipa, Malvar, Anilao, Nasugbo and Calatagan. My favorite among all I've mentioned are Laiya and Anilao. They have nice and luxurious beaches there. I loved it.

Hi Mike, I have heard that it's an amazing place, a first class province of the Philippines located on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. I have never been there but I wish I go there once and enjoy the real essence of this beautiful place. Batangas is the capital of the province of the same name. Aside from being a popular destination for beach lovers, Batangas also possesses some of the best dive sites in the Philippines. There are caged tigers you can see & of course, Taal Volcano at Taal Lake. This capital city is one of the nation's top revenue earning cities and is the site of one of the biggest oil refineries in the Philippines. Thanks.

I'd been to Matabungkay when I was 9 years old. It was beautiful then. During the morning it was low tide and you can walk on top of the corals... You can even see foreign tourist there before. But after 25 years when I come back to it, There are a lot of settlers there living near the beach. It was too crowded. The there are a lot of garbage. Poor place... they wasted it.
