A tea, one aspirin, some hot bath, stay in bed for few days, and sweat a lot, just only with what your grandmother teach you?
Or will go to doctor imedialty, because you are afraid of small things and want to be sure that doctor will say that all is ok?
I am one who will take some aspirins, tea., and rest.

I'll usually just try to rest, drink lots of water & eat lots of fruit, and drink hot liquids - and if the cold lasts longer than 4 or 5 days, then I'll usually go in. It's not always necessary to go in at the first sign of a regular, head cold - it's a waste of time and money, if you ask me, and 99% of the time you can recover totally without the help of a doctor or prescription.

When I catch cold, if I don't have fever, then I usually take Vitamin C. That's very helpful , especially if there is sneezing. Vitamin C, I think, prevents from catching cold. I drink orange juice every morning at breakfast time. That's a source of Vitamin C. Ofcourse, if I also get fever, I have to take the medicines, and see the doctor too.

I usually take Thera-Flu (great stuff!), drink lots of other liquids, rest, and try to eat. If it lasts more than a week, I'll go to the doctors
