I want to know your comments on the story. It is very short. I received it from my friend in my email a while ago. Just want to share and for me to know your opinions and reactions. Maybe some of you already read it.
Here it is:
There was a blind girl who hated herself because she's blind. She hated everyone except her loving boyfriend. The guy is always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would right away marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. From then, she can now see everything including her boyfriend. Then, the boyfriend asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'. The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and she refused to marry him.
Her boyfriend walk away in tears and later wrote a letter to her saying,
"Just take care of my Eyes Dear".
Isnt it touching?:)

oh my dear... makes my heart ache for the guy. the extent of what love can do to a person... the extent of what some people would do for love.
i don't know if i could give my eyesight away. i've given up so many things for another person... yet i feel i haven't given my all.
thanks for sharing the story. it's very touching, but it's also very sad how it ended.

Hi rsanders! Thanks for sharing such a nice story which is awesome and inspirational as well. We have been hearing a saying "love begets love" quite often. But it is the opposite of that as well, "love doesn't beget love at times". The love of the boy was true and eternal and the love of the girl because she was already mostly filled with hatred for everybody and that overwhelming hatred for everybody didn't enable the girl to assess love in the real sense.

Even though the story is touching,I can't digest it.Because the logic is missing.How can a living person donate both his eyes?It seems to be a good parable.Cheers!

I'll appreciate your response. But for me, I dont anymore think on how does the living person donated or is it possible to have that operation or something. The main point is the lesson that you can get and how human beings behave in a situation like this or similar to this. Thanks!

Oh so sad to hear it in my part, so hurting
in the part of boyfriend having sacrificing himself
for his girlfriend.Sometimes promises are made to be broken
when things change in life. She did not know that the eyes
that make her see was came from the one who understand her
situation in life so touching and hard in the part of the
boyfriend. Now the luck and success of sacrifice the reward
is not fair.Its too hard for me.

Your story is so touching and I pity the boyfriend of the girl because of the love he had for her he sacrifice his own eyes but then in the end the girl was not worth of his sacrifice.

yes really very very touching , my heart really came to my eyes reading this short but really very touching story.actually in this case too both the lover show human behavior that is found in you and me and in all the human species.we can do anything to satisfy our greeds, but some times we can just forget those greedy thoughts of our mind , but that is only for a short time .
now lets take my example , i love a girl very much and i always try too keep her happy. i know that she doesn't loves me at all , but still i care for her. ( now the greedy part) some time when she rudely talks to me i get angry on her , despite the fact that she doesn't loves me, i start hoping she loves me.
so from many years i have been trying to kill that greedy feeling in myself , but i have been successful only up to 1%.actually all of us just want to full fill our own needs.

Anyways,the girl is so selfish and self centered.She didn't even think that her boyfriend was always there when she was blind.She didn't even said thank you...

touching story... i think i've read this before too forwarded in email... just can t remember but sounded familiar.
anyway, this is what a person can do for love... but i doubt if this is true or not. a dying person could probably donate his two eyes.
but he could've donated only one of his eye, instead of two.
nice love story though...

Yes , one of my friend showed this story to me on youtube . It was formed in the form of a song but it is really touchy story. I don't know if its real or no but it did made me cry few times . Many times we love somebody so blind that we give everything to him and latter that person just refuses to be with you.
