Why is it that people cut their hair when they go through a break-up? Some of my friends have cut their hair and they emerge out of the parlor looking very pleased and happy with themselves. I've never done this but I know a lot of people have. Have you ever done this? If you have, why? If not, do you know anyone who has?

I have never done that. I have never even noticed if other people do it!
It does make a lot of sense, though, especially if they werent the one to choose to end the relationship! I think in a lot of ways it is a statement. They are trying to make themselves look even better. This way they will quickly get a new boyfriend (because I am assuming this is usually girls who do this). They can then prove to their ex that they are worth it! They can show their ex everything they are missing!
I have had the same hairstyle for many years! lol. I dont think I would change it now even if something major happened! Good thing I dont have to worry about my husband leaving me!

I believe this hair cut is a way of saying "I need a change, a fresh start". Alot of times when a relationship ends the parties involved try something new, different, in hopes to clear the air and start in a new direction.

I already done it before. I always love to go in a parlor and being in a parlor can release my stress. When I cut my hair I feel much better and I also like to look different after break up. I really don't know but I feel something good inside me when I cut my hair but not just when I cut my hair, but also when I make some different in my hair style like when my hair become straight from curly hair.
