I have a problem which is mainly oommon to many people. I suffer from cracked and dry, rough heels. I think I caused the problem myself since for a long period of time I used to wear many flipflops which arent that confortable for the feet. Does anyone of you have a particular remedy to this problem? I work and for long hours I stay on my feet so you can imagine that sometimes it hurts bit. I sometimes put my feet and let them soak in warm water for minutes. I find that it is very relaxing. What about you? any suggestions?

This is a recurring problem that I have for years and years now and it's worse in the summer with open shoes, sandals and flip flops. Great advice here too - thanks for this topic!

At the moment I feel that my feet are in a very bad state and I need to do something before starting to wear sandals and flip flops although i will try to keep away from flipflops. Its really great here because many people use different methods to cure the problem and by sharing the ideas in here, you can try them all and see which method helps you the most. Thanks all for your responses.

First wash your feet in warm water then soak them in water as hot as your can stand. After the waters cools down just a bit dry them and the put vaseline on them. Use a good amount then put on thick warm socks. This works best if you do it just before you go to bed. Try this for a few nights and see what happens.

From many of the responses I noticed that many of you use the socks after applying cream or something to do feet. I have to try it as soon as possible. thanks a lot.

After bathing or soak your feet on warm water, then use a foot scrub to scrub off dry skin. Always moisturize after doing it with a foot lotion not just ordianry lotions for the body. Do this for a week and it will surely fix it. Most importantly do not use anymore the flops that caused it or any footwear that makes the skin dry. Monitor or check out all your footwears and avoid using the ones that makes the skin dry.
