according to my advise kaspersky is the one best antivirus software it works perfect but it's cost's very cheep just 500/- Rs. for 3 user with one year subscription it's very low amount but it's works very perfect. If u want user only free software then u may get same problems every time. first just try with trail version if u satisfied u may go with that trail version softwares kaspersky 30 days trail version queckheal 60 days trail version (original software is 1000/- Rs for one user) bit diffender 30 days trail version (original software is 800/- Rs for one user) so my dear friend my suggestible antivirus is kaspesky just try it ok

Have you tried Avira Antivir Personal? It can both quarantine or fix your file after scanning. You can set it so it will scan your computer in fast time. Furthermore, it is free! All you have to do is to update it regularly to get good protection for your computer, it is free as well.

I was using AVG Free until i found that every time i turned on my computer my firewall was off. I decided to browse, so i entered FREE FIREWALL, i found Comodo, which is free to use. A scan takes about 30-40 mins, i am fully protected and it actually tells me if and when i have an infection. I have tried the free trial offers, but, until now i have never felt fully protected. I also use CCleaner and Uniblue SpyEraser. http://www.comodo.com http://www.ccleaner.com http://www.spyeraser.com Good Luck

I purchased the McAfee Total Protection pkg. and had it in place and still got a major virus which destroyed my desktop. After that, I purchased Norton for my new laptop, it is more user friendly and seems to scan stuff faster.

I use kaspersky internet security 09. Its a good AV software and i recommend it. I have tried Mcafee but its not worthy. I think Kaspersky will cost you around 12 to 15$ with three user pack. You can install it in 3 computers. and it has 1 yr Validity.

I swear by Avast Anti-virus on all my home computers and both my daughters' laptops. I've been using it for years... for free... and it's been terrific. You can download it here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html I use it in conjunction with both Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware - to really try to keep the malware, spyware and adware cleaned out. Finally, I use CCleaner (originally called Crap Cleaner) for general clean-up/maintenance. All free, all doing a good job for me :) Here are the other links, in case you don't have or are interested in any of these: Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html AdAware: http://www.lavasoft.com/ CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/

OK, McAfee does fix things-SOME things. But I never recommend it as a responsible IT worker. Free programs- Avast and Avira AntiVir are good. Paid- Avast Pro is very good, BitDefender is excellent, CA works reasonably well, and I use ESET NOD32 Antivirus for protecting my Windows Vista partition on my MacBook Pro. Also remember to keep your system patched with Windows Update-that is often more important than antivirus software. And it is always free.

I have Norton secuirty and it scans, pevents and fixes also. It requies a subscrition fee and I am not aware of any thing that that would be free of charge that would fix and scan for virius and other peoblems.
