Recently i have tried to trace weather people excel in what the enjoy doing but found out that they do better in what they don't enjoy doing, i wonder why is that so and what is the cause of this happening or is this just abnormal?

if you enjoy doing something you take more pride and time over it were as if you dont like somethin you just want to get it done. So they i think they will excel in something they enjoy doing.

what i have found is that because they have to complete this task they would want to do it in a way good enough so they dont have to redo that task and thats what makes them excel where as with what they enjoy doing, they would make a walk through over the task without realising if they did it incorrect.

More often than not people who enjoy what they do really become successful. Perhaps because they love what they are doing they really make the best out of it. But regarding about what you said that people who don't enjoy what they are doing excel more than people who enjoy what they do. I guess they just need to prove something for other people that if they can excel in things they don't enjoy doing how much more if they enjoy what they do. So I guess it's a strategy. Or it can be a way of rebellion like if you are force to do something you don't enjoy. Instead of being negative, you do it positively.

Actually my observation is contrary to yours, I feel that people excel if they enjoy the work, without liking a thing how one can excel is doubtful. Or may be it is the success of achievement which might be the driving force in such cases.I think that is the motivation behind people which makes them successful irrespective of liking or disliking.

I think that people will excel at what they enjoy doing, because we enjoy doing it, we take pleasure in what we enjoy. And we don't excel at what we don't enjoy. I don't think any of us will excel at something that we don't enjoy doing, at something that we don't want to do at all.

I believe that whether or not a person excels at anything they do has more to do with their work ethic and personality than their enjoyment of the task. I happen to be the type of person that does not like to leave a task unfinished, and I do not like to think tha tthere is something that I cannot do if I put my mind to it. this attitude allows me to be successful, even if I do not particularly enjoy what it is that I am doing.

Well, I am not bragging but I have only had 3 jobs my whole life (I'm only 22) and I have succeeded at all of them. I really want to work in a magazine but haven't had the opportunity so I wouldn't know if I would excel there. But I am all about the money. Whatever I can do to make more money I try to go for that. I've worked at a Taco Bell where I moved up to Assistant Manager by the time I was 18. I worked at an office where I am executive assistant and I worked at a retail store doing department manager duties. So I think it is the drive a person has inside of them to make them want to succeed.
